From a young age you have been told horror stories of how a disgusting race of creatures called the Gort invaded and decimated distant islands. That terror is now coming to the places and people you know. Victims who are captured (both man and beast) are enslaved and then eaten when of no use. Often cut into pieces slowly so their flesh stays fresher longer and feeding a family of Gort for weeks. Some are brought to their home islands used to host Gort larva that will incubate in then devour them alive from the inside out. You don't have to worry if you are doing the right thing by killing a Gort and stealing from their ships. The only good Gort is a dead Gort and they must be eradicated at all costs. Every Gort you see was born into the world in the body of an unwilling host and then ate them alive. The Gort’s sole goal in life is to find large mammals like you for their young to be born into as it is the only way they can reproduce. The time has come for you to set sails and defend your coastal waters and liberate your people from their ships. Or take the offensive and raid their homelands and slay their children before they grow into an army that will destroy your entire race. The world is a vast collection of many islands and types of creatures, and the Gort are not the only bad creatures you need to watch out for. The gods have made many cryptid beasts and beings that can help you or hurt you. But with the favor of your lord you might be able to survive or at least kill your share of the Gort so you can die with honor. Everyone can be a hero in this game even if your teammates fail, but you will still benefit by working with others. This version is a pre-gunpowder Medieval Pirate Story with some limited magic. You will battle epic mythic monsters as well as homebrew fantasy creatures. The RELIGION/MAGIC SKILL in this game system can help you deal with situations and make your attack and damage rolls a little better and give you a little protection and a small amount of healing. These powers come from your god or deity and give you an edge against the odds but are not a game breaking weapon that make you a God yourself. This is not Harry Potter you won't be able to kill things with a magic wand. You do not have to prepare spells and can cast any spell in the spell guide based on your magic level. Everyone can use their MEDICINE AND HEALING SKILL but if you do it wrong you can end up hurting the ones you are trying to help, especially if you don't have a lot of skill in it. Everyone has the same ability to hit and be hit in this TARGETED AC SYSTEM and head shots do double damage. Damage in other areas could leave you with a peg leg or wooden hand. You can use an aimed attack to disarm an opponent or target vital areas. This is an open world game and there will be lots of bad guys, monsters, and bad creature races to kill, so please no murder hobos. I will not try to railroad you down a pre-set module path, you can run away. But I will do my best to make the game go fast and not let the party spend all day long having a tea party and picking out the color of paint on the ship. Be a hero and be ready to fight and kill for your kind when good folks need help. We welcome players of all races and sexual orientations so don't be ashamed to be who you are in the fantasy realm, but I do not give anyone any special treatment or privilege because of it. Any real life racism or homophobia, or demanding special privilege, or generally distracting others from the game, will result in being banned regardless of the player's gender or race. You will get a low stat character and get to play today, it will not be a 4 hour "zero secession" of making characters. After you have played a game we can make characters when everyone is not waiting on each other. I play 3-4 times a week. Usually I start 8-9pm MST (GMT-6) but I could also play in the mornings.
