My group is short a few people to make up a full party so we are hoping to add in a few more. Primarily this group runs 5e but occasionally on weeks with light attendance we will play Weaver dice one shots to keep up the fun without moving on without the group. My hope is to find some new players who would like a chance to learn and play or some DMs who never get the chance or a combo of the two. The setting is a middle fantasy Viking themed one with a blend of historical correctness and some of that tongue in cheek Skyrim style. It's meant for everyone to start at 0th level and earn a chance to be counted among the ranks of adventurers with the milestone system. The homebrew rules are mostly based around quality of life but also will include use of an occasional crafting system. The party has so far only had one play make it to first level and the tone will swing wildly from scene to scene as we have seen 1. A player distract a wyrmling dragon by knitting it a scarf while the party stole part of its horde 2. A PC sacrificing themselves to save another. 3. A high stakes fishing competition 4. A 3 person life or death gamble where only one walked away 5. A character hiding in a dung pile when they were nearly caught trespassing. If any of this sounds like a good time to you then by all means please fill out this simple questionnaire so I can get a feel for your potential place in the party. What kind of players am I looking for? Anybody is welcome to apply! Roleplay is welcome and appreciated but I am looking primarily for players that are able to play their character as a person and willing to get to know their fellow players (accents or not). I'm not just looking for a group of strangers that would just show up once a week then disappear. I am looking for a group of players that can become friends and chat with each other in between games. This group is LGBT+ friendly. Rules lawyers will likely be frustrated. I believe that the DM should have final say on the rules of the game, although some input from the players here and there is always welcome. In the end I am trying to craft an experience we all can enjoy so I love feedback for both what my players liked and what they think could have been better. If this sounds like something that you would enjoy and you are looking for a group of fairly casual and friendly players then feel free to fill this out and either send it to me in a PM or post it below so perhaps another DM or group of players might see it and bring you into another game.
