The time has come for you to set sails and defend your coastal waters and liberate your people from their ships and steal their treasure. Or take the offensive and raid their homelands and slay their children before they grow into an army that will destroy your entire race. The world is a vast collection of many islands and types of creatures, and the Gort are not the only bad creatures you need to watch out for. The gods have made many cryptid beasts and beings that can help you or hurt you. But with the favor of your lord you might be able to survive or at least kill your share of the Gort so you can die with honor. Hello I am JeffreyJames, I Gm'ed role playing games for about 5 years using my own game system called firewinds. I recently adapted it for a pre-gunpowder fantasy pirate adventure on roll 20 and put it through about 100 secessions. I made my own game because I wanted a fair and balanced RPG system where everyone could choose how they wanted their character to be built and not be limited in certain abilities because of arbitrary rules about your class or race. I also wanted a system where magic was not a game breaking weapon. This game system is NOT D&D or PATHFINDER, but is much easier to learn and play and is great for beginners and pros alike. As a GM I like a game to move along and not get too dead while not being a complete railroad but still having structure. I like combat but enjoy some role-playing but not a game of barbies playing house, nor a group of evil murder hobos. I draw a lot of art and maps to use in my games. I use pre drawn maps and whiteboard a lot of my adventures. I enjoy openworld gaming so you can create part of the adventure and story. I watched all of "adventure zone", "demonac: tales for my dnd campaign", and "harmon quest" and it inspired me to spend a year animating one secession of my space-western game. You can watch it on youtube called "firewinds of the suns" if you want to see my Gm style. ALL PLAYERS ARE HUMAN CHARACTERS in this fighting and warrior game. Your character sheet will be pre programmed with the macros you need to play, just push a button to make your roll. You will battle epic mythic monsters as well as homebrew fantasy creatures. The RELIGION/MAGIC SKILL in this game system can help you deal with situations and make your attack and damage rolls a little better and give you a little protection and a small amount of healing. These powers come from your god or deity and give you an edge against the odds but are not a game breaking weapon that make you a God yourself. This is not Harry Potter you won't be able to kill things with a magic wand. You do not have to prepare spells and can cast any spell in the firewinds spell guide based on your magic level. Everyone can use their MEDICINE AND HEALING SKILL but if you roll bad you can end up hurting the ones you are trying to help. Everyone has the same ability to hit and be hit in this TARGETED AC SYSTEM and head shots do double damage. Damage in other areas could leave you with a peg leg or wooden hand. You can use an aimed attack to disarm an opponent or target vital areas. This is an open world game and there will be lots of bad guys, monsters, and bad creature races to kill, so please no murder hobos. Be a hero and be ready to fight and kill for your kind when good folks need help. We welcome players of all races and sexual orientations so don't be ashamed to be who you are in the fantasy realm, but I do not give anyone any special treatment or privilege because of it. Any real life racism or homophobia, or demanding special privilege, or generally disruptive or distracting others from the game, will result in being banned regardless of the player's gender or race. You will get a low stat character and get to play today, it will not be a 4 hour "zero secession" of making characters. After you have played a game we can make characters when everyone is not waiting on each other. If you have a group of 3 or more close friends and a set time when you all meet weekly or bi weekly I can run a private game for you and your friends.
