All games will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15 USD per week per player via Paypal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------------------------- ---------- Looking to get into Dungeons and Dragons but don't know where to start? Then look no further! We will be running the starter set Lost Mine of Phandelver which in my opinion is the best adventure to learn the game with. Game price is $15USD per player and there are 5 slots open. If you are interested please post a reply in the applications thread below. Game times are Monday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's 7:00pm ATD - (GMT-3) Start times are flexible! What you can expect from me I will run everyone through character creation and we will have a short ‘session 0’ where we discuss characters and campaign expectations to ensure that we get started off on the right foot while introducing players to Roll20 and Dungeons and Dragons 5e . Starting the campaign We will run through the Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure. This will get players from level 1 to 5 and should take between 5 and 8 sessions depending on how fast we do it. Sessions will be 3.5 hours long and we will start when we have enough in the group. When this adventure is over there is the potential to continue with another module OR, with your new expert player knowledge you can find your own games. The lost mine of Phandelver is a high fantasy, beginner friendly campaign perfect for your first time playing the game. Get ready for goblins, dungeons, mystery and adventure as you manoeuvre your way though the town of Phandelver and it's surrounds in the hunt for the Lost Mine! Ask me questions! When you apply I will get your discord information and you can feel free to ask me any questions about the campaign or Dungeons and Dragons that you would like to know. I always try to reply in a timely fashion. Player Expectations Firstly it should go without saying but, no bullying, sexism, homophobia or racism will be tolerated. Along with anything that may make others feel uncomfortable. If a player is having any issues in game about anything, they can speak to me privately and I will address it. This is a team game, and players should come to the game with that in mind. Creating a character that doesn't like working with others will cause problems for the game. This doesn't mean you can't create complex characters that have different motivations, but just remember sticking true to your chaotic neutral character might kill everyone's fun. This is the most fun you can have in a game. Let’s all do our best to enjoy Dungeons and Dragons together! About Me I am an experienced DM and have taught many players about the joy of Dungeons and Dragons. I have played primarily on Roll20 and can help new players learn how to manoeuvre the site. Role playing games are my favourite thing to do and I hope to help get more people interested in it. I also had a DnD related Youtube channel a few years back, I have linked a playlist of a short campaign I ran so that you can check out if you wanted see how I DM. (Disclaimer: it does contain some 18+ content) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsAqexUACYM-XaxvhxHoY_im2khwcjv6b Why pay to play? It’s often hard to find games as a player on roll20, there are many players but not as many DMs and it can be even harder if you are new to the game. Roll20 Features, things like dynamic lighting and the campaign modules improve the game dramatically. DM consistency. I will not cancel games, I will arrive on time and we will complete the campaign setting. DM quality and prep, the quality of DMs can vary. Even if you get into a game you could run into an unprepared DM or an adversarial DM, paying guarantees a quality game.
