[5e] [LFDM] [Free] 5 person premade looking for DM

Forgot to mention in title this would need to be a biweekly Sunday game. One player goes to bed at 9PM CST so that is a hard cutoff. (Also idk if I can edit the title or not but I don't see a way to >.> I convinced my friends (age 26+) to try D&D but we need a DM. I'm unemployed and simply can't afford to pay a DM. What I personally am looking for is a relaxed DM that will let us have some fun and bend some rules. (Bad experiences with rule lawyering) Also more then likely our party will eventually do some dumb stuff but I think overall the party should mesh well together and when appropriate play seriously. My idea of a good D&D campaign is the players having fun and succeeding while the DM makes us think we are going to die. I don't want stupidly hard challenges. (Bad experiences with randomly generated dungeons and encounters) I also like maps, even shitty hastily crafted ones. I've tried theater of mind and sometimes its really hard to follow what is going on. Either Roll20 or another virtual tabletop is fine. In terms of homebrew vs module, I don't personally care. I would just like a good mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay.
You have highly selective criterias for a non-paid GM I'll just leave it there. Why isn't there someone willing to GM amongst your group of 5 ? You like maps and you have an idea of the level of encounters you should be giving them. Sounds like you should GM instead of asking for one that is already submitted to arbitrary expectations from a stranger.

I just don't want a dick head that is going to kill off characters. And as far as maps go, if someone draws a box and says that is the room I'll take it. Honestly, if that is asking too much then I don't want that person to be my DM. And as far as me DMing, I've never done so and I'm literally the one that wants to play. Now, I will politely ask you to leave me be as well as anyone else that feels the same. It's a waste of everyone's time.

I will just say, if you're looking at a friendship group where only one of you is actually interested in playing, you might be better off looking for someone to run a oneshot, or a couple of oneshots, rather than asking for a DM (or your friends) to commit to an extended campaign. A D&D (or Pathfinder, or other TTRPG) campaign would be a commitment of at the very least several months, and usually two to three years.   I'm also going to say that yes, you can DM.  Honestly.  Pick up Lost Mines of Phandelver, or Dragon of Icespire Peak, or Sunless Citadel, or a well-written oneshot from DMsGuild.  Run with it, coz you're allowed to make mistakes.  Just make decisions quickly, and correct yourself after the session if needed.  If you can be super descriptive, great, but otherwise, just read the box text as is.  So many people want to play but hardly anyone will DM, and there's no reason for it.  You don't have to be Matt Mercer to run a game - noone can match that hair anyway. But yeah, it takes a little bit of extra time and effort...

But yeah, it takes a little bit of extra time and effort... First of all, thank you for taking the time to reply and at the bare minimum come off not near as rude as the first person. When I said I'm the one that wants to play I meant I was the one that originally had the idea. Admittedly, those two statements are two different things. I would say that really 3/5 of us want to play and the other two are tagging along because I asked them to. One did offer to DM if he had to but I wanted us all to play and do dumb things collectively :( Might have to take him up on the offer since the time slot is the hardest thing to deal with. I did have a couple hits on Reddit but the time slot doesn't work for one, the game doesn't work for the other and the third one hasn't gotten back to me yet :D
You (or one of the other players) are the DM you need. Just take turns running some one-shots for each while you figure things out. It's a lot of work to DM and while you might find the odd DM willing to take on a free player or two to fill out his group, you're not likely to find a DM to just be at your beck and call for free. Good luck either way.
Hi there! Hope I am not too late for this. If you have not already chosen to DM yourself or found someone else, I'd like to throw myself out there and talk with your group a bit and see, in more detail, what kind of game you are looking for. I've been DM'ing 5e for a couple of years now, so not that experienced of one compared to many others out there. I'm not great at forum posts so let me know if you'd like to know more and I'd be happy to meet the group.
