Welcome to the dreadful lands of Barovia. I shall be the Game Master in this adventure - for it is a game, one of cat and mouse, where your survival will depend on your cunning and your instincts. Read the following warning carefully, as it shall not be told again. It is the first time I ask to be paid for my DMing services. The reason I do now is in part due to the experience I have gained by DMing many weekly campaigns in the recent years (alongside playing a few official campaigns as well), and I now understand better what makes an interesting story-telling and game managing. I have finished running Curse of Strahd with another group, and I have learned how to create an immersive atmosphere to complement the spooky setting. However, I only ask for 5$ per person per 3-4 hours session, since it is my first time - and English is a second language, sometimes I can't find the right words for what I want to say. (I haven't been one to agree with the paid DMing service, but since I paid for the module and I put in as much time in preparation as I do in running the session, it is only fair to receive a small compensation.) As a paying customer, here is what you can expect from me : a regular, weekly session, ready to begin on time personalized integration of the character's backstory into the campaign, and help for the creation and the leveling up if needed immersive story-telling and atmosphere, voice acting, combat narration open-minded discussions about the players' preferences the possibility of being refunded IF the group is unanimously unsatisfied with the DMing As a serious and structured DM, here is what I expect from the players : be ready to begin on time; unforeseen circumstances will always happen, but I would appreciate if you could let me know as soon as possible be respectful toward everyone : no mockery (teasing is fine IF there is a good chemistry), no insults, no pressure to do things a certain way, no criticizing other player's gameplay, no offending humor, etc. pay attention to what's going on, even when it's not your turn take notes of what happens during the session accept the DM's ruling during the session (if you disagree with a ruling, I will be open to discuss it after) invest yourself in your character's roleplay (to the best of your ability of course), and try to integrate the other characters keep in mind that not everybody will always agree on everything, we need to make compromises to make things work That being said, I like to have fun during sessions, and I will probably be the one to joke around the most. I just hope that the players will understand that we can have fun and joke around without making the game a joke . In other words, the key characteristic I'm looking for in players is maturity . I will accept 5 players maximum. We will discuss together of the play time.
