Here is what we have to split. 250gp from the reward. Coin found: 38gp 7sp Sells (27) Javelins for 67sp 5cp; 16sp each Total split = 316gp 3sp Put in party treasury: 3sp 5cp Plate mail Beau is currently using will sell for 750gp. I suggest we use this and then sell it after the undead threat is dealt with. (2) healing potions, who needs them? @Rob what are the value of these things? Journal of the Lich Brooch Nice Great Axe
Eralion's Journal might fetch 250 gp from a collector or historian. Brooch (50 gp). Greataxe (50 gp).

P.S. Byron, did you split the treasure four-ways instead of five? Wick is dead. Stan's new character does not get a share of any of this treasure. Nobody update your treasure until Byron re-does the party loot calculations, please.
updated
Byron, does your update include the cost of the brooch and great axe?
Ohh, but journal I wanna read it before selling it
Yes brooch and Great Axe. Not gonna sell the journal just yet my good man!
Okay, so everyone should have: 316 gp and 3 sp .

From session 10/19  Beau sells the orc chief's platemail to the smith for 750. Split to everyone but Hunter: 1123gp Hunter gets 450gp. Here are items that the party can use: Ring of Fire Resistance worth 4000gp (2) potions of healing
Just a question for all you players: is everyone recording your cut of the total party gold on your character sheets? I'm looking at your sheets now and your GP totals, but I'm not seeing everyone's updated accurately. For example, some of you (Beau, Eisen, and Trev) have very little gold, while other player characters (Dwarinn and Hunter) seem to have a decent amount. I just don't want anyone to miss out on their hard-earned gold, ha!
I updated mine after Byron posted the most recent results.  The others prolly haven't updated theirs yet.
Yea I haven't updated the gold in my sheet yet
Okay, just wanted to make sure you guys aren't forgetting.  All Best, Rob
I have not...how much would Trev now?
Hi Jaymes, Have you been noting the gold from earlier posts in this forum discussion ("Loot Channel")? Byron (Beau) has been posting each hero's cut of the party loot at different moments. You will need to scroll up from my post here and look at everything he posted throughout the game's history. I'm not sure how far back you haven't recorded your cut of the party treasure, so you'll need to figure that out on your own. Byron can help you though.
Byron should post the division of all coinage (gold, silver, and copper) here. Also, your party needs to decide how magic items should be divvied up between players in a fair manner.

Okay, just to be clear about coins: each party member gets 1,400 gp, 409 sp, and 313 cp . That includes the reward you all received from the magistrate, Arlen. Make sure you don't list your reward from Arlen twice.
I have posted Eralion's Spellbook in the "Player Handouts" folder. This book contains the following spells: Level 1 : Absorb Elements, Armored Heart, Earth Tremor, Tenser's Floating Disc, Undermine Armor Level 2 : Dust Devil, Earthbind, Lair Sense, Maximilian's Earthen Grasp, Spire of Stone Level 3 : Erupting Earth, Melf's Minute Meteors, Mire, Wall of Sand Level 4 : Conjure Minor Elementals, Earthskimmer, Stone Shape, Stoneskin
To be a wizard and get those spells. Too bad Clerics can't learn them.
A lot of earth spells.
Dwarinn was given the Long sword, Valkyria, by Shandril.  Dwarinn will take that as his first pick.   DM (Rob) (GM): Shandril accepts the sword, but then looks you up and down, Dwarinn. "You are worthy, Master Dwarf. Take it. The goddess wishes you to have it. May it keep you safe and be a light to you in dark places."
After seeing the spells in the spell book, Dwarinn is no longer interested in it.  Dwarinn would make a 2nd pick on a few of the Healing potions, and third pick on a few of smoke grenades.
Have the items been divided, if so could someone please post who gets what? If not divided, it would be great if we could do it before game time as we wouldn't have to spend game time discussing this.

Ok we have not decided on how we are splitting items yet, I posted what I think is fair in the out of game channel. Ok so magical items split. In 5e Dnd Magical items, even potions are VERY valuable. Everything we find as a party, we share. Doesn't matter if we get a gift like the sword or if you find it and no one else does. What a party does together, we share together. What you earn in your Downtime is all yours. I say everyone gets one pick. You can not make another pick until everyone has gotten at least one thing. Then your pick resets. When we find items, post if you want it, if two people want the same thing, they roll off for it. Anything no one wants, we sell for coin. Beau is designed to buy and sell magical items. I am happy to do this for the group for no cost. All we need is time and to be in a big city.
I feels it's a good way to split, let's everyone get a pick for themselves even down the road. Amd should there be a better item down the road for a certain character, if there is internal agreement we could always exchange among characters. I'm fine with such distribution.
Of course there's always an option of selling the items for their values, create a pool of money and everyone can buy what they need/ want after the getting the gold from items. But I feel that's sometimes waste of good items and the setting we are in I don't know how easy we can find the items we need/want.
And lastly there is need based i.e caster items to damage caster, magic weapon/Armor to frontlines. Support/utility to support caster

Picking your own items it best! So selling stuff and then finding what you want is what I designed Beau to do.

Selling the unwanted items to get the items everyone wants and needs is great, and say someone wants to pick an item, he could just pay the difference, i.e (original price of item - gold he would gotten from money pool selling all items)

I have already agreed to the pick system, and stated I disagree with Byron's belief of items gifted to a player don't belong to that player but to the group.  I have also stated Dwarinn was gifted the long sword of Valkyria by Shandril: DM (Rob) (GM): Shandril accepts the sword, but then looks you up and down, Dwarinn. "You are worthy, Master Dwarf. Take it. The goddess wishes you to have it. May it keep you safe and be a light to you in dark places."    I have stated my picks as wanting a few of the healing potions, and a few of the smoke grenades. Every one should put there picks in prior to Wednesday nights game.  That would be wise to do. I agree with Malekeith Items no wanted or need should be sold and the gold added to a group coffer to be used to buy magic items that we want.  I would also like to point out there is no 24 hour Wal-Mart of magic items in D&D.  There are perils in both buying and selling magic items.  Lets not delude ourselves into thinking its just a simple roll of the die modified by our highest skill and stat.  If that's the case then I want a +5 vorpal battle ax of Fire balls.   Just saying.  I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to keep things grounded.
I like the pick system and I agree with stan, that heirloom items and personal gifts should not be under party but the individual, and the rest all we find on quests and adventures would belong to the party. As stated earlier even in my post that even if selling and buying is a good option, it would depend on DM discretion and allowance in the setting of the world that we are in tl;dr it won't be easy to always get the items we want from buying and even if we spend time, we have seen time leads to events and consequences down the line. That being said, for the time being, the pick system seems like a good option. and as I mentioned before I would like the staff of Eralion to be the first pick for me. As I understand the system, everyone makes the first picks from the group of items we have, when a clash occurs a roll-off will take take place, and those who lost the roll would get another pick. Once first pick is done we go to second picks and so on until the items are depleted

@Stan: Not to take sides in your petty player squabbles (for they are beneath the Dungeon Master's lofty gaze), but I think you and Byron both have a point with your respective positions on this matter concerning Valkyria . You are right to say that Valkyria was gifted to Dwarinn by Shandril, so now the sword does belong to him. But Byron does have a point, too: before Dwarinn ever returned the magic sword to Shandril, the weapon actually belonged to the party, not the dwarf. And technically, Dwarinn should have ran it by everyone first before returning the weapon to Shandril. Just my two cents.

Based on feedback, this is the pick system I suggest. I will list items the next day after game in the Loot Channel. Everyone posts want they want in the Loot Channel. If there is no conflict, you get the item. If there is a conflict, roll off. Anything not chosen is sold and the loot split between us. If there isn't enough loot, or someone doesn't get a pick, we will work it out. Non Magic Items like minor healing potions, minor scrolls, smoke bombs. Just say you want them and we will divide them evenly. Any item you get from a downtime is yours (like if you craft it) and not subject to party division. Not sure if we will ever get personal quests but yes if the party doesn't help, its your loot not the parties. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is what we have and what has been asked for. Bracers of Defense (4000gp) +2 AC to unarmored person, must attune Longsword Valkyria (4000gp) +1 silvered longsword; shed light at will Dwarinn Ring of Fire Resistance (4000gp) 1/2 damage vs fire, must attune Beau Potion of Gaseous Form (2000gp) Potion of Heroism (2000gp) Potion of Invulnerability (2000gp) Earlion's Spellbook (2200gp) I think this should be a party item Staff of Earlion (4000gp) +1 staff; shed light at will and guiding bolt or daylight 1xD; must attune Eisen Minor Things (not a pick) Healing Potions (5) Dwarinn takes 1 Beau takes 3 Smoke Bombs (5) Dwarinn takes 3, Beau takes 2 Scroll of Invisibility

Seems like a reasonably fair system. (And look: we've already got a roll-off! For what it's worth, my money is on Trevor because the tiefling always rolls bad. LOL.)
My my,  I'm ready to roll whenever you are. Also how does Trevor have 2 picks, I e bracers and staff?
Haha, maybe that's a backup in case he loses the roll-off with you?
Its just what he posted, we have not decided anything yet :)
Nothing of use for me, so you guys have at it.
Ok do you want to take something to sell Hunter? I dont want the ring, I am going to go sell it personally.

@ Rob good point, I'm not saying I'm right, but I'm not saying I'm wrong either.  Just contemplating about it. and in the future Dwarinn will address the party first about similar situations
Dwarinn will only take one healing potion ( he has enough already ), accept the three smoke bombs, and Valkyria if there are no challenges.
@Stan: I love it when two of my favorite D&D scamps compromise.
Bracers; I shall release any claim on them since they would be useless for Trevor since he wears heavy armor.
I guess we roll away for the staff then my friends, any specific dice you want to roll or go for the normal base d6 roll off?
Mal and Blue, both roll a D6 and highest gets it. Note even if you don't want an item, you can still take it and have it sold for you. Then buy something you want. As I mentioned, I can do this for any player, as long as we take time and go to a big city. So sell unclaimed items and split the gold evenly?
well then trevor I challenge you to beat a 5
