[LFP][5E][FREE][SUNDAY][BIWEEKLY][5-9PM EST][WILDEMOUNT] Buildup to Call of the Netherdeep

UPDATE No more potentials at this time, thank you! I'll get back with everyone who showed interest soon. Hey! Three of my long-time players and I are starting a new campaign at level 1 in Wildemount. Once Call of the Netherdeep comes out, we will transition into that. We're looking to add 1 or 2 more to our group. We have not had session 0 yet. I'm hoping we can have a session 0 soon, and then get a couple of sessions in before the new year, and then really jump in a week or two into January '22. Player Rules: 18+/mature. Everyone is welcome. LGBTQ+ friendly, respect pronouns, all religions welcome, etc. It's okay if English isn't you're first language, as long as we can communicate fairly easily. New players very welcome. When: Sundays, biweekly (session 0 on November 21 hopefully...), about 5PM to 8:30PM EST. About: This won't be a great game for murder hobo-ing or chaotic stupid alignments. I'd say about 66% of sessions I run have combat, so it's not uncommon at all to have a session that's much more about roleplaying, especially once the group starts to get comfortable together. I stay pretty close to RAI (rules as intended), but I'm definitely okay with cool dramatic moments. If you notice I'm forgetting or misinterpretting a rule, you can definitely bring that up to me at the time, I certainly don't have a perfect memory. Good chance you'll be right, I may have a reason for doing it differently, I might just appear to be doing it differently, or I may disagree. I'll hear you out as long as it's not slowing the game down too much, then decide and keep the game going, and we can look it up when we have time later. Characters: No homebrew races, classes, or subclasses. Reskinning races, classes, or subclasses is definitely an option. Player's Handbook, Dungeonmaster's Guide, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything are all definitely allowed, but if you want to play something else that's published, it's probably okay as well (those are just the books I own, am familiar with, and can easily reference). House Rules Powerful Crits (max damage on 1 die on a critical hit) ASI and Feats (ASI levels, you can raise 1 ability score and take a feat) Stats (everyone gets a 17 and a 9, then [roll 4d6 keep highest 3] 5 times, keep the best 4) I'm more interested a player who will fit well with the group than I am an interesting character concept. We're all a bunch of nerds and friends, so we enjoy chatting about movies and shows before we start. If you're interested in joining, feel free to ask me any questions or message me. It's the holidays right now, so I know the next month and a half will be pretty hectic for a lot of people, and that will be the same for our group. But, once the holidays are over, we'd like players who can make most Sundays (since it's already every other). If people miss but we still have a few players, we'll sometimes run a quick non-canon battle, just so we still get to play.

Hi! I'd be interested in possibly joining the campaign. I've run 2 campaigns to completion as a DM, am currently DMing another campaign, and have played 1 campaign as a player. I'm also really into films and shows so I can definitely talk a whole bunch about that kind of stuff before sessions. I love RP stuff and character building, so I can make just about any character that can fit in, or use one of the concepts that I (sadly) haven't been able to use since I've become the DM for my group of friends. I should be free on Sundays (I am currently in college and when winter break comes around and I go back to my job I should be able to talk with my manager about scheduling) so I'm pretty sure it should work out well. I think this would be fun and I love meeting new people. Oh, I also live in the eastern time zone so the times work well for me, there shouldn't be any issues. I can definitely do a session 0 on the 21st if that's what is going to happen. Easily fits within my schedule. Is there anything else you'd need to know about me right now?
hello there! I'm interested in your campaign if you have room, do a trial if you want, to see if there if we get along? however 2 things you should know, 1. I have never played rpg. I'm basically looking for a group to start playing jeje. So i would need help and guidance along the way, and i know that can be annoying for some people. 2. I'm finishing uni right now (i am not on holidays unfortunately jaja) and while I've normally finished studying by 5pm your time, there can be sundays wich I wont be able to show, or be a little late. I'm supposed to finish in march tho, so if the plan is the long haul i should be a lot freer by that time (hopefully jajaja). Anyways, if you are interested, let me know, and we can talk more in detail. Either way, good luck with your campaign.
Hi! Im interested in joining, and i believe i can make most sessions! I'm a fairly inexperienced player, but i want to learn! feel free to send a pm and i can write a short summary of myself
Hey! I'm interested in joining and can make most sessions. I've got 5e experience but I haven't played much since lockdown. I'm big on characters and story and above all I want everyone at the table to have a good time. I love to shoot the shit about movies and shows so if that's what you folks are about then sign me up!  Thanks, and good luck with your campaign!
Preferred name and pronouns: Michael/Pink (He/Him/Dude) Age: 29  Experience with D&D and Roll20: 5+ years with D&D and 3+ years with Roll20 What are some elements that you look for most in a DnD game: I love a mix of roleplay/combat What role do you usually fill within a party (notetaker, jokester, leader)? Describe your playstyle: I love being a front liner, melee character I would love to join your campaign!
Yo! I'd love to join if you've still got the room. I've got nothing in the way of obligations outside of another game on Saturdays, so I should be able to make just about every session. I'm still a tad new to things- I have a decent handle on mechanics, and can create a character without supervision, but most of the lore and subsurface stuff still goes over my head- but I'm very easy to teach, and don't like to argue about what I'm told.  As for getting along- I'm one helluva nerd, and if there's even a bit of nerdiness in the group, I'll do just fine.
We currently have a full group, but if anyone drops, I'll start messaging others. Thanks everyone!
