Hi there, my name is Brian. I've been running a game on Thursday for about 5-ish years, but over time schedules change and people get new jobs etc. Basically I find myself down to two players, and while most everyone in our games we've known personally, I just don't have enough D&D playing friends to really build up my group again. So we've come to Roll20 (which we use for our games anyway) in search of one or two people interested in the same things we are. So about me and the games I run. We aren't super hardcore roleplayers, but we aren't complete munchkins either. My two current players tend more twords munchkin than roleplay but they can get into it if the setting (and players) are right. I as a DM prefer more RP in my games, but as long as everyone lets each other enjoy what they want (AKA: not getting mad if a player decides to RP for 30 minutes) I don't really care what people are there for. I tend to run shorter-term campaigns, about 3 to 6 months. I do this because over my years of play running year+ long campaigns is almost impossible, people run into problems and have to quit and after a certain point it becomes hard to continue the same game. I run shorter games in the interest of having a story that actually reaches completion, and I can say that it certainly helps with that fact. We don't stick to one system. Over the years I've gained experience in dozens of different games, and I'm very open to trying new ones. Almost every new campaign is going to switch system, but I always leave it up to a vote by the players what we are playing and what the campaign will be about. I strongly believe in everyone having fun - and if even one player isn't having a good time, I'm completely willing to switch what we're doing so that the group as a whole can succeed. Additionally, I am completely open to people who are new to tabletop roleplaying. Just keep in mind as above we swap game systems and rarely stick to one, so you need to at least be open minded to learning new things, and I'll always be there helping you figure things out. We do our games over Roll20 but use Discord for voice communication and scheduling. I don't think I'm the best GM by any means, but I try my best to create interesting worlds + characters for you to interact with. And if given constructive criticism I'm willing to work on things.
