Need some help here on roll20

So i decided i could be fun to try this out after i saw a couple of people us this. So i made my account and now i can't figure out what to do next. I have never played any kind of dnd like game but i watched some. So if there someone who'd be willing to give me some tips on how to get started here on roll20 i would really appriciate it. :)

Have you checked out the help docs section? &nbsp;There's a ton of great information in there including GM and Player overview videos. &nbsp;Those should be a good place to get started:&nbsp; <a href="http://help.roll20.net/" rel="nofollow">http://help.roll20.net/</a> Since it sounds like you've never played a tabletop RPG before, you might want to think about what kind of game you'd like to play. &nbsp;Don't sweat the rules just yet, but think about what sort of genre you'd like. &nbsp;Do you like sci-fi or fantasy, for instance? &nbsp;Do you like high powered action or deeply involved stories? &nbsp;Once you figure out what you're interested in, it should help narrow things down -- there are hundreds of different systems out there and it's tough to choose otherwise! &nbsp;You can also take a look in the "Looking for Group" forum to get an idea of what sorts of games are being played. &nbsp;If you see one you like, post a message for the GM and see about getting involved. &nbsp;There are regularly posted beginner games too, so don't worry about that part. &nbsp;Everyone around here is really nice, so feel free to ask all the questions you like. Ohh totally missed that there were a guide so thanks for that. And tbh i guess i like fantasy but anything goes :P

there is a ton of fantasy games listed so you should have no problem with finding a game.

Fantasy is one of the most popular genres. &nbsp;Metroknight is right that you shouldn't have any trouble finding a game in that case.&nbsp; Pathfinder ( <a href="http://www.d20pfsrd.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20pfsrd.com/</a> ) and D&amp;D 3.5 ( <a href="http://www.d20srd.org/" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20srd.org/</a> ) are pretty popular and (as you can see by the links) have their base rules available for free online. &nbsp;D&amp;D 4th edition is very popular too and, from what I hear, fairly easy to learn. &nbsp;But there are tons of different rules systems out there and all of them have their fans. &nbsp;The easiest way to learn is to find a game that sounds like fun and just give it a try. :)

So, how do you make chracters ?

Depends on the game you are playing. Generally, you either a set amount of points and you spread them a\out between various abilities, or roll dice and assign them to various abilities.

The easiest way is to find a game that sounds like fun and talk to the GM/DM of it. Everyone has their own personal way of how they run their games and it works out better if you find a GM/DM that is willing to help with the character creation. The term GM and DM are pretty much interchangable. GM means Game Master and DM means Dungeon Master (this term is used mostly in fantasy genre) but either works. Just explaining some basic terms if you didn't know some of them.

Are there things in place for the BFRPG (Basic Fantasy.org) system?

BFRPG doesn't really have a lot of support as it is an open source system developed by ? number of people. It was a free system we found to use for our school's game club's rpg offshoot that has sprung up. This leads to my next question. Is R20 able to handle having 10+ people on the same game at once?

I've been running BFRPG for the last few years. It's nice to know that there are other users of the system.
