Campaign In the streets of Baldur's gate, you run. The sound of footsteps chases you, haunts you like a bad dream. Every alley you dive through, every cart you slide under, there is no escape. After 15 years of surviving on the streets your time has come. You screwed over the wrong people too many times. Now there are only consequences. You dive into a roll, between the legs of a war horse, through a window into a wash basin. They're everywhere. The Zhentarim close in from all sides. All escape routes are blocked. Time stops. A man in a black robe looms over you. A voice speaks in your head. "I can offer you a future, I can make you into something more. I can save you." He tells you the one thing that you've always feared. The one thing that you've always wanted to hear. "You are special" Summa Cum Laude is a level 1-20 campaign that takes place within the most renowned magical school in all of the multiverse. You will play as outsiders from the various realms, given a scholarship to attend the university and escape the various fates that awaited you. With the new expanded acceptance criteria and outreach programs, the school is bursting at the seems with new people, new opportunities for learning and mischief. The only question is if Strixhaven is taking the best and the brightest from the rest of the realms, what exactly does that mean for them? https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/312117/strixhaven-summa-cum-laude The GM I've been running and playing tabletop games for over 16 years. This has become my full time job and my longest running pro games are approaching 2 years old. I have a background in improv, acting, voice work, and comedy writing. I try to bring a narrative and roleplay friendly vibe to the games that I run. I love collaboration, and getting to build immersive stories with my players is the reason I play. I try to make the world feel as alive as possible, with NPCs that have motivations, and desires, and factions that work behind the scenes while the camera focuses on the players. You can check out any of my streamed games at Twitch.tv/gmdisco to get an idea of my playstyle. Roleplaying Notes I'm an improv coach with a passion for roleplaying and narrative improv. If, and only if you want me to, I can give you roleplaying notes after a session on things that you could do to improve or make your scene work more effective. Safety Making sure that everyone is comfortable at the table is one of my top priorities. In my games I use a safety mechanic called lines and veils to set expectations and boundaries to avoid any kind of triggers. Anything that you don't want to say in front of the rest of the party can be messaged to me in private and I'll simply add it to the list anonymously.
