hi. i am korean who using Roll 20 for several years, i have been gm of 10+ games, and roll20 playtime is 9000hrs. until now. simply dragging the image uploaded to the journal, it became a token. but now it's not working. Is it Roll20 just hate me? orhere was update that no one wanted? 영어 못해서 존나게 미안하긴 한데 김치맨이 이정도 영어 쓰면 존나 잘하는거 아니냐?

You’re doing it wrong. ;) You should be dragging from the Name in the Journal over on the right.
Seriously, though, LOVIN, are you asking about the size of the token? Currently, many tokens are defaulting to larger sizes and usually, if you hold the "Alt" key down they will appear as 1x1 on the grid. This behaviour is not consistent though.

Links to the intended workflow for tokens in the second post on this thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10535904/player-tokens-no-longer-drag-able-cant-add-from-character-sheet That said, I can confirm that dragging the avatar image on the Bio and Info tab of a character sheet from the sheet to the VTT no longer produces an image on the VTT, despite some visual indications to the user that it should be possible. I think it would be best to remove the drag box and the small preview image of the avatar that appears when you start dragging from the drag box, if the feature has been deprecated. Edit: Kraynic, this is what I mean by drag box. It shows up for me in Firefox (latest verison) when I hover over the avatar image with the mouse: The cursor changes to a grabby-hand as soon as you hover it over that box, and clicking and dragging produces a small preview image ... until you realease the mouse button, at which point there is no image on the VTT. And I agree that the previous functionality should be restored! I only meant that, if there is some reason why the the functionality is not coming back, it would be good to hide the visual indicators that promise it.

Perhaps it should be fixed to allow this functionality that some users expect. LOVIN said they have used the method for years on here. I undestand what keithcurtis has advised, about a preferable method for token creation (dragging from the Journals list), nevertheless is there any reason why to disallow the alternative approach (dragging from Character Bio Avatar)? Sarah R. The old behavior has not been announced as depricated. Why would it be? Additional forum reports about this issue: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10528598/cannot-drag-tokens-onto-map https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10535904/player-tokens-no-longer-drag-able-cant-add-from-character-sheet Upon reading those threads OP in detail, it is evident some Users of Roll20 have been using that technique for years up until recently.

Even when they were using it, though, it did not produce a viable default token, merely the image of one. It was not properly set up. I agree that it is a good idea to allow a default token to be dragged from the sheet. I assume the ability to drag the image was inadvertently removed while adding the new art library drag functionality.

I was kind of confused about this drag box. It turns out that this is a browser difference as far as I can tell. I see what you are talking about in Chrome, but it doesn't exist in Firefox (which is what I mostly use). This indicator may be something specific to Chrome rather than something Roll20 is intentionally making available. I tried both Chrome and Brave (just to include a Chrome based browser), and both of those display the box in the upper left corner to grab the image. Neither Firefox nor Waterfox (to include another mozilla based browser) display the grab box.
Is there anyway to get the dragging art from the character sheet back? I ask because now, when I drag the token from the journal, I no longer have access to the macros I created for those monsters.

Is your default token set up correctly? That sounds like the default token doesn't represent the sheet in the token settings.

I agree that it is a good idea to allow a default token to be dragged from the sheet. The avatar image & the Default Token image can be 2 different pictures (sometimes called Portrait, and Token). It'd be useful to allow the Portrait (Avatar) to produce a graphic object on the tabletop of the Portrait/Avatar, which is not necessarily the Default Token of that character. If the Character has a Default Token (which isn't the same picture/shape as the Portrait/Avatar), then a way to produce the Portrait/avatar on the Tabletop should be drag the picture from the Bio, I think. The alternative normal way to place such a graphic object would be drag that picture from your Library, but in the case of a Player-Uploaded Portrait/Avatar onto their Character that image wouldn't be in the GM's library, so they should be able to drag-drop it from the Bio.
