hello and welcome! my name is briar. i'm 31 and use he/him pronouns. i'm in the pst timezone. i've been playing 5e for about 3+ years now and feel pretty confident in my knowledge of the game. i've been told that it seems like i've been playing the game for much longer than that, which i take as a compliment. i'm looking for a campaign to start the new year off right. while a strictly lgbtq+ game isn't necessary, i'm part of the community and want to feel at home at the table and in the sessions. it doesn't fuel my desire to play dnd or the need to romance an npc, but options are always nice. i'm available any day, i can make my own schedule to make sure that i can make the game times, though i prefer wednesdays or friday/saturdays over most others. but i'm flexible when it comes to scheduling. i don't mind paid games. i'm looking for quality sessions with immersive backstories from the characters at the table, where each player and their character feels important and valid and to build a story together that we weave with the game master's narrative plot points. while i enjoy story telling, i can be a number cruncher and min/maxer when it comes to combat and getting the most out of what i'm playing, so keep that in mind. i like to know how to play my class just as much as weaving their complex story in whatever world we're playing in. as far as a mix of combat/exploration/roleplay, i'm good with just about anything. the most important piece to me is the immersion of the table and that everyone feels invested no matter what we're doing. it's a collaborative effort and that's what brings me to the table over and over again. i'm good with modules, though i have played many of them, and love homebrew so whichever you have to offer, i'm up to the challenge. i'm big on session zeroes and even one on one communication with backstory creation and ideals of what each player wants out of the game. as far as game length, i think a minimum of 3 hours to a maximum of 5 hours is a good point, but depending on what's happening, i'm always down to go longer. if you want to chat, feel free to message me and i can give you my discord or drop your's here and we can get in touch to drill out more! i feel like i've rambled long enough. if you have any questions, feel free to drop them here and i'll reply as soon as i can!
