We are a group of 8 friends who will all be in our 50s by the end of next year and have been friends for 30+ years. Most of us played D&D as kids and we started playing on Roll20 and Zoom in April 2020 when everything was locked down. One friend was the DM for Storm King's Thunder until Feb 2021 when he got burned out and I took over. Everyone rolled new characters, I ran them through Dragon Heist and we are currently running Dungeon of the Mad Mage. The other DM and I would love to be able to play together since we put the most effort into trying to roleplay.
Since all but one of us have families we keep to a set schedule, every Weds from 8 pm PST to 11 pm - 12 am PST (though a few of us jump on Zoom at 7:30 just to shoot the shit). While the other DM and I have tried our best, we know that we are still amateurs and thought it would be fun to play with an experienced DM, someone who can draw the RP out of all the players and help us create an epic story. While we are all interested in running Curse of Strahd next, we are certainly open to suggestions. Although there are 8 of us, because of life demands it is rare when we are all on; often 1 - 3 of us will not be able to make it, so we typically divide the experience equally so that nobody falls behind. I am very interested to see if anyone is up for the challenge of playing with a big group of old farts!
