LF a Cartographer

Hey guys, I'm looking for an artist willing to do some pro bono work. I tried a DIY approach to a world map and ... well it didn't turn out so great. It seems I'm a worse artist than a GM. Basically what I'm looking for is someone to redo my world map. The world itself is smallish if that matters. So please let me know if you're interested or know someone who might be. Thanks, Matt

Are you talking a map for a Roll20 campaign, or something else?
A world map for a roll20 game, yeah

So, a top down map for encounters? Here's a collection of my work: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/adn040gdiiq0h5l/AADpqu2... What exactly are you looking for as the main theme of the map? Desert, forest, city, swamp, sewer, dungeon, etc.

Simon S. said: So, a top down map for encounters? World Map. He said it twice. An encounter map is not similar to a World map. The amount of detail & scale is radically different. He said it is a smallish world. Earth is around 24,000 Miles circumference. A small world, he might be looking for 5000 miles or so. It is very zoomed out compared to an Encounter-scaled Map.

Sometimes I am strong with the derp. My recommendation is to try finding someone on http://www.cartographersguild.com/ if you're looking for a larger map.

Cartographer's Guild is an excellent recommendation. Be sure to read their Sticky post about How To Request Maps , (listing key information to include in your request even if you're asking on Roll20 or another website forum) then you can post in their subforum: http://www.cartographersguild.com/mapmaking-requests/ I make world maps myself, using Pro Fantasy's Fractal Terrains 3. I can make full globe sized maps with several continents and 100's of islands & even can import it onto Google Earth and spin the world around with your mouse. It would take much more effort & additional programs for re-making someone's already planned world map, with roads and cities. The way I can do it is more of a fractalized terrain globe, showing a number of continents, coasts & mountains & oceans & potentially rivers, deserts, ice-caps, forests, ocean floor, craters -- but excluding political features like borders / roads / cities / nations, or pre-planned features. If what I described is what you need, contact me by private message and we can discuss the time & parameters. The amount of work required is still several hours minimum, the way I know how to do it, so I would not really be able to do it for free, but perhaps can work some kind of barter with you. I could send you some samples I already made for free though. If you need the kind of map that has your cities & nation borders, head over to Cartographer's Guild as recommended, and hopefully someone will respond and volunteer.
+1 to Gold's advice. I can do decent encounter maps but my world mapping skills are sub par. But willing to do encounters if you need em :-). My work : alphstar.deviantart.com/gallery/
