New Parents Group - When weekends just won't work - Interest check for Weeknight play

So, I am a soon to be dad. As such, my weekend activities are now dedicated to the wife and our bun and I am quite literally desperate to get a group going. I have tried posting various events in the Monday evening time slot (8:30 Eastern) and have received minimal interest. Is there anyone in the same boat as me where weekends just won't work? If so, is there a game that you want to try to organize with me? I can do Numenera, L5R, Spycraft, 7th Sea, Star Wars, Ars Magica. Do let me know.
Dude, it doesn't get better. We have a 2 yo, and a 6 yo now and weekends are ONLY good if you plan them as a monthly event rather than a weekly hangout. To much other family stuff happens on weekends. I'd be game to hang on a Tuesday or a Thursday with those times. I can easily run a 4th edition DnD game, but everything you posted looks interesting. Been a while since I dusted off my old 7th Sea books. Good game but I always felt it challenging to get a good story line going.
I'm same. Have a 4 yr old so weekends are a no go for sure. I'd totally do an 830 weekday game. I've only played pathfinder, but I'm interested in Star Wars as well as DnD 5th. Mondays, and Wednesdays work well for me.
got a 18m and one to be born in dec. thur or fri after 8 or so would be best for me. looking for dnd 3.5 or pathfinder.
Id also be interested in weekday play of pathfinder(Depending on what we run) aswell as star wars
I currently have a Monday game up for Star Wars as it is the system I am most familiar with, but I can move that to Thursdays. It wouldn't start until after Gen Con though if that is okay with people. In between sessions, I can take a jab at running Pathfinder (full disclosure, I am VERY green in that game). In any case, thanks for the show of support, I was beginning to lose hope...
When you say star wars, what do you mean by star wars? Theres 3 star wars system that i know of Additionally I can probably help you learn pathfinder, I personally am REALLY looking for the new adventure path of pathfinder, but if you want to run other stuff thats fine to!
Sorry - you are right. I am most familiar with the current Edge of Empire/Age of Rebellion stuff from Fantasy Flight. As for Pathfinder - I will take any help I can get. Really just starting out with that system, so I am pretty impressionable. :-)
As an added bonus, I am going to Gencon where they should have the first book of said adventure path. If you guys help me learn the system, I have no problem running that Adventure path starting the Thursday AFTER GenCon (23rd I think).
Pathfinder is a revamped DnD 3.5. It fleshed out a lot of classes that needed work and looks like combat is a bit simpler. As for a start date 23rd is fine with me. gives me something to look forward to.
If you run iron gods for me, I will honestly do anything you ask forever. Also edge of the empire/age of rebellion was the system i was most interested in(regarding star wars) Will we be using skype or anything to play? Will it be text?(Sorry trying to figure stuff out now)
Everyone who responded here should have invites from me for a place holder shell. I figured it would be easier to move specifics to that. So, I will answer all of this over there.

Still open for another parent? I have a 13 yr old son. I don't play any of those systems you all listed but just chilling out works for me. I run a game on thursday and work weekends.
I think the game that we are setting up is going to be played on Thursdays. Will that conflict with your game?

Yeah. Don't worry about it. Good luck with the game
Not a parent, but in a similar position where weekends are just too busy (yay for wedding planning). Generally prefer 4E, but willing to give most systems a shot. Did you decide on which system you were going with? And 8:30 PM... what time zone?

I would definitely be down for a weekday game. No permanent kids, but I get mine every other weekend...which pretty much kills every weekend for gaming! I've been HIGHLY interested in Fate Core/FAE lately. The core books are free (well, pay what you want) and can be used for any setting. I've GMed a couple games and can't recommend it enough.
Well, as it seems, it looks like the group that going on here (which is currently full up) is starting on the 28th and playing alt weeks. I could get a game going on the 21st and play alt weeks if there is significant interest. I just started reading Fate, but I would very much like to play something that is more campaign oriented. Spycraft, Edge of the Empire, L5R, etc. Games would be played at 8:30 EST on Thursdays.
