[LFP][DND 5E] Roleplay heavy group looking for a long term player for our next campaign!

Welcome to the Obsidian Circle, Keepers of secrets and protectors of reality. This magical order collects and guards magical lore and artifacts. We are a long-term group of players looking for a few new faces to round out the group as we begin planning our next big campaign. All types of classes and character fit fairly well into this dynamic, as this organization faces an ever more dangerous worldscape. We'll be starting at level 1, but getting through those initial levels fairly quickly. The current party is shaping up to be an Aasimar Paladin of Inarius, a Mezhaian Abjurer Lorekeeper, and an Amazonian Beastheart with her Arcane Lion companion. We play long sessions in a homebrewed world called Bastion. It is a unique setting, with new ideas–commonly accepted tropes and content, from gods and cultural stereotypes, to even entire swaths of monsters and PC character creation options, may be so altered as to be unrecognizable or even nonexistent in the setting. The sourcebook for the setting is being revised and updated tbd very soon. As a snapshot, here is what is done so far if you're interested to get a feel for the setting: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12jq7OVgQ2jEtBJ6T4JwoaQsle74rG6IC/view?usp=sharing We lean into the RP of RPG heavily, preferring to build and play with rich characters and a reactive world. We like to think of characters not as archetypes or tropes, but people, with all the complication, variety, and depth that implies. We also like to build our parties together–a cohesive group is more important than an individual character. Mechanically, we play 5e D&D, though a version heavily cherrypicked and with several houserules. Expect slow-build milestone leveling and for not every session to have combat, and even occasional sessions with less than a dozen dice rolls across the whole party, as we spend time simply talking in character. Logistically, we play weekly on Sundays, beginning at 12:30 pm EST and going all afternoon and into the evening, usually between 7-8 pm depending on when we hit a good stopping point. We use video chat over Discord alongside Roll20 for the actual dice rolling. We are also active throughout the week in our Discord server and would want any new player to have time to engage with the group in this way. We like long campaigns, so we are looking for people who are willing and interested in joining a long-term group. If that sounds awesome, great! Please open a new post down below and tell us a bit about yourself. We’re interested in more than simply D&D chops, too–if there’s something about you you want to include, we like and appreciate that. But we would like to see a character concept from you, this shouldn't be a character played in any upcoming campaigns, just a sample of the types of things and themes you like to include in creation. Maybe a past character, or an idea that jumps to mind from some of the setting material. Thanks so much for reading this little blurb about us, and if we aren't the right table for you, best of luck and roll on! I’m actually quite curious. My Discord is kesrakyse#9292 The application seemed to link to the forum rules which that may be because I’m on a new account. I would love the chance to talk things over with you to make sure I fit in with the group <3
