[LFP][STA][Streamed][Free][Saturday GMT OR Tuesday EST] Star Trek Adventures: Aegis is recruiting for launch

This is a Sol System Information Network News Alert. Starfleet Chief of Staff Admiral Samuel Gardner has issued a new order to address a personnel shortage.&nbsp; Under provisions of Starfleet Order 147, captains have increased latitude to grant field commissions and experienced officers from other services.&nbsp; The order, along with reforms allowing joint Starfleet/MACO service and soliciting officer exchanges with other interstellar powers, is meant to fill positions which Earth’s space services have not been able to fill. These pressures are exacerbated by the Samuels Cabinet’s decision to refit and redeploy older Daedalus and Marshall class vessels alongside existing spaceframes.&nbsp; Initially discussed in July 2152, final decisions to recommission the older vessels were only made in March of last year after the Xindi attack.&nbsp; Star Trek Adventures: Aegis is a streaming campaign that will follow the crew of the starship Aegis, a Daedalus class vessel, starting in the aftermath of Enterprise season 3.&nbsp; A new age of discovery is dawning on the horizon, but the future is under grave threat. Quick update: We've had a good batch of applicants so far.&nbsp; I am going to continue applications through this Friday, January 7th, and then start reaching out to candidates.&nbsp; If everything works out, I'll have this closed by Monday.

2nd Update:&nbsp; Most positions are either filling or are confirmed as filled.&nbsp; We still have need for a medical officer for anyone interested.&nbsp; Also, a critical mass of players has erred towards the Saturday option.&nbsp; Applicants will only be considered for availability in the Saturday timeslot.

3rd Update:&nbsp; There have been a growing number of applicants who I have not been able to contact due to errors with Discord.&nbsp; Specifically, I have not been able to locate Discord tags as entered into the applications or variations on them.&nbsp;For any applicants that have not heard back at this point, I would encourage either a PM or post in this topic.

5th Update: Due to IRL circumstances among the initial batch of recruits, we are reopening recruitment.&nbsp; We will be accepting players for the roles of Captain, Engineer, and Chief Medical Officer.
