Leon Starbreaker (Sembia) Lycanthrope (Lawful Neutral Paladin) Knight of the Order Personality Traits I’m haunted by memories of war. I can’t get the images of violence out of my mind. I’m full of inspiring and cautionary tales from my military experience relevant to almost every combat situation. Ideals Might. In life as in war, the stronger force wins. Bonds I’ll never forget the crushing defeat my company suffered or the enemies who dealt it. Flaws My hatred of my enemies is blind and unreasoning. Piety: Helm (6) Chapter 1: Escape from Sembia - Keeping your vow to return the Scroll to Cormyr (+1) Chapter 2: The Dark Rider of Arabel - Protecting the Burgomaster from the Sembian Lynch Mob so he may face legal justice. (+1) Chapter 2: Keeping your word to redeem and pardon Ser Severin. (+1) Leon Starbreaker was a Companions of the One True Vision. He was an orphan never knowing his parents. All he knew is that he was not a native of Cormyr. He joined served as a knight for 15 years and in many conflicts. Leon and his Order have faced Orc raiders, bandits, goblins, and monstrosities from beyond. Leon had served his order with honor and dignity despite being an orphan with no noble blood. Leon finally felt fulfilled having a family of his own.  He went out on a final mission the Lord of his order insisted on Leon going and the other veteran knights due to their experience with dealing with the undead in the Farsea Swamp. Leon agreed and declared he with end his service in glorious victory. Last days of the mission they found the undead controlled by a Drow necromancer. The knights banded together to destroy the Necromancer. The necromancer lashed out to drain the life of one of the knights. Leon using his shield blocked a fatal blow to his comrade which allowed him to drive his blade into the heart and smite him. The necromancer's face changed into a Shadrkai Elf. The final words of the Shadarkai would-be my master has won. Your homeland and order are right now being destroyed you are too late. By the time the veterans returned home their homeland was burning creatures of the night swarming the streets. The knights fought and killed as many of the invasion forces as they could. The Shadarkai magics and stealth techniques proved far too much for the exhausted veterans. The Shadarkai warriors came and one by one Leon's brothers in arms fell to warriors of shadow. Until Leon stood alone. His shield shattered, spear broken then with one last swing of sword breaking on a wall of force. The Shadarkai stopped attacking as their master approached hand glistening with magical energy. It was the Lord of the order. He approached Leon his face began to change before Leon's eyes. I killed your lord 3 years ago. I took his place and began to weaken your forces. You and your veteran's knights were the only things stopping us. So I used my magic to raise an army of undead to lure you away and weaken you. I despise you the most Leon the family man. Speaking of look who I found.  Shadarkai soldiers had captured Leon's wife and daughter. Leon's rage erupted as attacked the Shadarkai leader bare-handed. Leon was like unto a beast. He moved swiftly attacked ferociously. He killed two soldiers with his bare hands. Before becoming paralyzed by some unknown force. The Leader approached him and said this is interesting. A glow came from his eyes, the Leader began to chuckle. You have no idea what you are Leon. I was going to kill your family then kill you. I have something more delicious in mind. Death would be a release for you Leon. I will show you what you really are dog! Let me unleash your rage and see how much you love your family. The Shadarkai touch Leon's forehead at his mid went black.  Leon transformed into a lycanthrope right before the eyes of his wife and daughter. Now suffer the Shadrkai Leader said. The command spell cast kill them as he pointed to his family. Leon murdered his family in a rage. Leon awoke to the sight of his wife and daughter blood on his lips and hands. Leon cried out no no no! When a voice came from within his mind a familiar voice. The Shadarkai Leader let me put your mind at ease and answer your question. You killed them, Leon. So much for the loving family man. Enjoy the rest of your life knowing what you really are a monster. Leon buried his family, the veterans, and the village. Wrapping himself in the banner of his order. The locket of his daughter and wedding ring around his neck and walked to the capital of Cormyr a broken man.

Corax Sharrowkyn (Underdark) Human (Chaotic Good Ranger) Bounty Hunter Personality Traits I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success. I’m always polite and respectful. Ideals Freedom. Chains are meant to be broken, as are those who would forge them. (Chaotic) Bonds I fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Flaws My hatred of my enemies is blind and unreasoning. Piety: Hoar (4) Chapter 2: The Dark Rider of Arabel - Granting vengeance to Ser Severin against the Cult of Shar. (+1) Chapter 2: The Dark Rider of Arabel - Preventing the Sembian Mob from lynching the Burgomaster. (-1) Chapter 2: The Dark Rider of Arabel - Gaining a Nightcloak of Shar as an enemy. (+1) Corax was born in Menzoberranzan, a 4th generation slave. He has very faint memories of his mother and father. Shortly before his 1st birthday, his parents were killed in a slave raid by the Duergar, and Corax, a small child at the time, as well as 6 other children were taken by the gray dwarfs. Corax and the other children were taken to Gracklstugh, home of the gray dwarfs. There they were sold to other gray dwarfs. Corax and 3 children were purchased by an exceptionally cruel gray dwarf. Shortly after being sold, the evil gray dwarf and his henchmen, loaded up Corax, the children and other slaves of various ages and race, into a strong, windowless wagon. After days of travel, the gray dwarfs were ambushed by 2 Umber hulks. All the gray dwarfs were slain, as well as all the slaves but for Corax, and a male drow named Hauklir. In the confusion, Hauklir secured Corax and fled. It took Hauklir 11 days to finally reach the Svirfneblin city of Blingdenstone. As Corax grew, and learned he came to understand just who, and what he was a part of. Hauklir, was part of a group called the Mor Deythan (Shadow Masters). The group was part of a larger organization, The Lords Alliance. The Mor Deythan are responsible for hunting down and killing slave traders, and freeing slaves. On the day Corax was sold to the evil gray dwarf, Hauklir had been captured and was planning an escape when he noticed the small child the other children called Corax, was different. The first thing Hauklir noticed was Corax's eyes were pure black. he had never seen a human with eyes like that. The second thing was he couldn’t see Corax in complete darkness. Even though he was a Drow elf, no matter how hard he tried Corax was just...invisible. When there was some light in the wagon from the gray dwarfs’ torches, Hauklir knew Corax could see him, even though as a human, he should be completely blind. Hauklir knew he had to get the child back to the Mor Deythan. When Hauklir made it back to Blingdenstone, the small group of Mor Deythan accepted Corax like one of their own. The group of Mor Deythan were 8 strong. Every member did their part in the task of raising Corax. The leader of the group was a Deep Gnome named Grinthack Grimechewer, 2nd in command was Hauklir. There were 3 other deep gnomes, Bundre Dusthand, Brelkel Granitecatcher and Dreldenk Adamanttooth. There was a burly Mountain Dwarf named Ungrimm Grimmsonn, and a hulking half Orc called Thorash. The last member was a forest Gnome named Orlo Slyfox. As Corax grew, he was trained by every member of the group. Ungrimm and Thorash trained him in a wide variety of weapons and armour. Hauklir trained him in stealth movement, tracking, and survival, not just in the underdark, but up on the suface as well. He was taught the languages of the underdark by Orlo, as well as minor casting. Brelkel taught him the history of the Mor Deythan, and the differnt factions, especially the lords alliance who they served. But overall he was trained to track down slavers, kill them and free their captives. Corax was also taught his personal history. He learned he was born into slavery, and so were his parents and grandparents. He was taught to use that hate and fire when exacting revenge on slavers. Being human, he made many trips to the suface world with Ungrimm, and Thorash. On his 14th birthday Corax was made a full member of the Mor Deythan. He was given the sur name Sharrowkyn, it was a mix of deep gnome and drow meaning Child of Shadows. For the next 4 years Corax worked alongside his family tracking down slavers and freeing all the slaves they could. Corax was very good at dropping enemies with a bow before they ever knew what was happening. As Corax's reputation grew, so did the bounty the drow and gray dwarfs placed on his head. Corax suffered many injuries but was never detered from the oaths he took when he became a Mor Deythan. Shortly after Corax's 18th birthday, Hauklir and himself were tracking a notorious drow elf named Maleus. They knew he would be in Matol-Derith to buy slave children. They couldnt kill him in the city without facing chains and the bottom of the Darklake, so they waited for 2 days outside the gate he should of came out. When the drow never showed, Corax entered the city under the guise of a drow trader and inquired about the slaver. Corax learned the drow did not buy any slaves but took a side gate and left the city. Corax also discovered through his contacts that the drow elf was not in town to buy slave childern, but to recruit soldiers to fight the resistance in Sembia. And when the drow got some takers, he headed back Netheril. Corax and Hauklir brought the news back to the Mor Deythan. A few weeks went by and finally a meeting was called. Information was sent down and the group was to send a member to Sembia to join the resistance and help them combat the Netheril, and assist the resistance in any way it could, and if possible, end Maleus. As the only human, Corax was chosen to go. Two days later Corax and Ungrimm were headed to the surface where they would part ways and Corax would face new challenges that lay ahead of him.
