Dynamic Lighting suddenly wont work

I have been using and experiencing the fun of dynamic lighting for a few years. recently though, 4 months ish, dynamic lighting is laggy or wont work at all. when it is on character sheets and handouts will not load sometimes, and rolls will take minutes to populate. how do i fix this? it was workign great and i didn talter any settings.
I'm not having much issue except on larger maps (up to 80x64 grid maps) but my players report heavy lag even on maps half that size. It could be an internet speed issue, as my connection tends to bug out when multiple people are home streaming Netflix or Disney+ or something similar.
it isnt a speed issue. it worked perfectly until some random moment 4 months ago

What you speak of is the standard experience I have with UDL in general with a side of trying to host during prime time .  You should try to make a new fresh session for starters but the lag is always going to be there until you start hosting at 9am in the morning US time.  Their service is overwhelmed with free to play and irresponsible session sharers.
the game i am in is 10am MST
and before the issues i was running games late into peak hours as well. no one else is getting these issues in my games

Hi Jaron, Try switching from Chrome to Firefox or vice versa. Heck, one of my players was experiencing some lag issues that disappeared when he switched to MS Edge. (It's not supported, but if it works ...) Try toggling hardware acceleration on your browser. Try deleting cache and cookies. I'll post some standard troubleshooting steps below the bar. The links will have some more info on how to do these things. Could you please carefully work through these steps of our guide to  Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through  Step 4 .  (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
