GM looking for players, Dungeon World One Shots and Mini Campaigns, Newbies welcome

I am looking for people interested in playing some Dungeon World games. I am not planning to run a long term campaign, but rather a variety of one shots and mini campaigns (2-3 sessions). I don't have any specific dates in mind, it would be more of a spontaneous thing, but I would do my best to let people know several days in advance. My life schedule is a bit sporadic, but I definitely have time to fit multiple games in a month. My idea here is that players can create a character and jump into games when I have them available, So you would create a PC and you might be in a game here, and another there, skip a few and show up in another. The games will all be run in 1 world setting though, and it would be added to over each game, thus in theory, creating one big campaign, with multiple players, but broke up into single one shots and such, if you get my point. Would there be any interest in this? For those not familiar with Dungeon World, it is a story based narrative game with a simplistic rule system. It is fast to run and totally free (you can view the srd online). Let me know your thoughts, questions, comments, and ideas on this, see what we can come up with and make this happen!

I'm completely new to Dungeon World but if it was a time I could make (GMT) I'd be really interested in a one-shot session. Thanks for throwing the offer out there!
I am hoping to do a variety of times. I live in EST, but I can do all sorts of times depending on schedule, so I am sure we could get one that works for you. Here is a link to the campaign: https://app.roll20.net/join/441797/b_eI7g I don't have much setup obviously, but that way we can get interested individuals all in one area and such.

I am interested. Also GMT time zone.
Sign me up! Love myself some Dungeon World... I'm EST time zone as well.
I'd love to learn some Dungeon World, I'm in GMT as well :)
Hey TribalxGeko this sounds like my kind of gig, I have some experience. My time zone is GMT and I am very interested in playing this. Some quick questions, What timezone would work best for you? Would You be using voice on voice action? Can a PC be in all of these one shots? Cake or Pie?
I've played a little DW before, and i would love to play again. I'm GMT+2, but i can get over skipping sleep for couple of session if it comes down to it.

I am in EST, but really, I plan to do all different time to accommodate all various timezones. It is just a matter of what my personal schedule is. So one game might be in the morning, another day might be at night. Another in the afternoon. It all depends on my schedule. I hope to do 2-3 games a month, more when possible. But I don't want to get burned out either, and I have real life obligations unfortunately...darn life. Voice on voice...I assume you mean mic and / or cams? That would be my preference yes. I don't want to deal with typing and reading everything in chat. I have seen people use google hangouts and skype, I am not sure what the benefits of that is over just using the built in setup roll 20 has... But yeah, I do want people to use a mic at least, cam and mic is even better obviously. A PC could be in all the oneshots, assuming they have time. I plan to have each one shot take place a week or two apart in campaign time, so in theory, the PC could be getting from place to place without a problem. However, with that in mind, I do want to have some rotating players and want to make sure everyone gets in games on a fairly regular basis, so I don't want the same person showing up and taking a spot every game, if you get what I mean. I am going to go with cheesecake...not sure if that is a cake or pie, but it is delicious.
All of that is just fine should be good fun, skype personally preferred, Lemon cheesecake FTW. /sign up
What are the benefits for skype or plus over the base setup Roll20 has? I have only ran a solo campaign for a friend on here, so never used anything but the regular cam setup roll20 has.
In my past experiences, EVERYTHING was better than the in-built voice software. Had too many problems with connections and sound quality
I have not used the Built in comms, anything is fine really, sadly I don't have a camera. I would love to do a solo campaign after watching dicing with death, hmm maybe I should post. :P

I would be interested. I've never played Dungeon World but watched a couple of streams, and it looks pretty good. My time zone is CET, but my sleep schedules are frankly insane - so I don't think it's going to be a problem. I don't care if we use skype, mumble, google hangouts or whatever.

Sorry, I posted in the wrong browser tab x). I'd be interested although it's not a high priority for me, I have 3 games on the weekends so a bit busy already. GMT +2 for me.
You, Tribal x Gecko have stolen my idea and so I wish to join this campaign. I was literally going to use almost the same system you have set up and call it something like "Daily, Weekly, One shot, Series" Since there are so many potential players, you could add me as a GM, although, I'd still like to play. Also, my campaign would feature custom classes and items I or other people have made up and would like to play test them. I could send you my Custom Item file, look over them and suggest improvements/problems/whatever.
I have never played Dungeon Wold, but would be interested to play it, let me know!
Heya, GMT +1 here. Pathfinder and DnD Next are the only fantasy RPGs I've tried but I couldn't get into it. Would love to have a try at Dungeon World as I've heard good things about it.
If you have not already, hop over to the campaign and sign up. Things will be kicking off shortly! https://app.roll20.net/join/441797/b_eI7g
Always excepting more players so stop on by. Use the link above to join us.

Will you run any text only games? If so, I'm definitely up for it. I read some more posts, so and saw that my question was already answered.
Still looking for more players. Plenty of games and one-shots to join.
I'm interested
I don't know how many I'd be able to make, but I do love the idea of having a game available that I don't have to be 100% committed to either. And for a good DW game I could give up some sleep! I'm in the Central time zone. I'm willing to play if you're okay with the fact that I'll probably be playing less frequently than others. If that's not alright, I completely understand.
Also it says the invite code is invalid
Sorry about that, here is the link. https://app.roll20.net/join/441797/b_eI7g

Would there be any interest in this? I am running a campaign that works exactly like you described. Except I'm using a different free D&D clone of the Old School Revival. I use Basic Fantasy RPG instead of Dungeon World. My campaign set-up is the same exact concept. I call it "open table" style (it's like one-shots, but it's actually ongoing, and Players can freely come & go for any session as they please). A small but obvious rule I added to my campaign is, "One player minimum, required to commit to a game time in agreement with the GM. After one Player has RSVP'd that they will commit to a game time, the table is open for any additional players to join by RSVP'ing or just show up." I say obvious, because obviously you can't have a game session without 1 player agreeing on a time with the GM. The basis is that you can't have a game session unless the GM is available and offers. The next step is getting 1 player committed to that session time. After that is set, I let any other players come-and-go freely for the session. Just wanted to say I like your idea! I would like to try Dungeon World and see how your campaign works. Best times for me tends to be Afternoons to Evenings in USA time. But it has to fall on a day that I'm not already playing or GM'ing another campaign. My dates and times vary, like yours.
