[LFP2, Free] [PF1e Homebrew] [GMT+1 English, Weekly] [SILLY POWER FANTASY] Tale of a Gods Demise

The Story (in broad terms) You’ll be hired to follow in the heels of Campton, a god, as he roams the material plane out of boredom, in search of the next entertaining thing to do. You'll be traveling from plane to plane, killing beasts, humanoids and things that should never even be witnessed. You’ll be facing ghosts and eldritch horrors. But w here the journey takes you will often be up to you, leaving Campton to just follow along merrily. Game is played via Voice, via Discord Free-Form The game is Pathfinder 1e, and the rules will be loosely followed. This game will be played in a loose free-form fashion, as you are in the presence of a god. Leveling up will be fast and you'll gain quite a lot of power and skill. (Boosted by a god) Monsters will easily fall at your feet, well, within reason of course. Not gonna be able to take on 15 Great Dragons at level 2 and live, but I won't stop you from trying either.... hehehe Combat maps rarely is ever needed or used, most activities comes down to a basic dice roll, char stats are often overlooked and ignored. We are here to have fun, not to be rule lawyers. But let's try to be faithful to what we know about physics, at least. Leveling is given in %s Main quests gives 25-50% Side quests will yield 15-25% Combat success and misc activities will give between 0-15% Killing Campton will give 999999999999.1% (... I know someone will ask...…) Gestalting Expect to be VERY overpowered by the end of the game overall. The old rule system, Gestalt from D&D 3.5e , will be in effect from lvl 3 and onward. But with retroactive effect too. Expect big fights and challenging dumb as fooook puzzles that will stump you for a good minute or 5. Depending on how the game goes, you can expect somewhere between 0-4 level ups per session. Rarely does downtime count towards leveling. (Link to this info cannot be shared in this forum post, the mods are stingy about links.) Dumb Puzzle Example You come to a door with 3 key holes and a classic door handle. You try to push the door handle down, and sure, it moves down, but the door won't budge. You summarize it's locked by the three locks, so you go to down on the locks, but each time you unlock one lock, another is triggered and locked. It's only out of frustration, jerking the handle, that you not only unlock and open the door, but you learn that the only thing you had to do, was push up on the door handle. The counter intuitive action to open a door. Puzzles will often follow this logic. Do the opposite action of what's needed to solve it. Sometimes, however, you need to do something more weird. But i would not call them difficult, just more in the vain of either illogical or dumb. When is the game? Weekly, but no idea of which day, best worked out here in the thread or the discord. Can we die? Yes, and no. I mean, you literally walking around with a god. If he don't want you to die, then you don't. Maybe he'll let you die just for the heck of it. Maybe the plot demands your death for a short time. Who the heck knows. Who is Campton? While I would say "Find out in-game". I do wish to reveal the following: He was mortal like you, then passed some weird test and become a god, and after having played around for a week with his powers, he has now fallen into a sombre mood and is in the need to figure out what to spend the majority of his new eternal life with. You two players will get to see Campton's possible rise or demise. All comes down to what you do. What is the length of this Campaign/Story? 3-5 hour long sessions, With 6+ Sessions or more to tell the whole story. I don't really know. Depends on how the game goes overall. Feedback Needed I thrive on feedback, as sad as it might sound, and if the game is gonna be fun for everyone, me as the GM, and you as the players, feedback is in high demand both during and more so at the end of the game. Character Creation: We'll do that together, and won't take long. Look up the class "commoner" on the Pathfinder SRD, as that will be your starting class. Why Free? 1) It's my hobby, not a job. 2) It's not a job, but a hobby. 3) Don't care a whole lot about money, but I won't say "no thanks" to tips at a later point. Maybe after session 3 or later, I'll welcome Tips, but might also not. 4) I do D&D because it's fun.
