Hello anyone who looks into this thread!
My name is Ashley and I am here posting this advertisement as I am presently looking for a DM with a group that is looking for a player for a long-term game. I am looking to make new friends, and make new memories. I am looking for a game that will take place on Tuesdays or Fridays as those are the only two days I am free at the moment. I'll list a little bit about myself here and I hope perhaps I can be a quality player in your game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When am I Available?: Tuesdays and Fridays, and I am available all day these two days. I am on Eastern Standard Time.

What am I Looking For?: I am looking for a long-term D&D game, whether homebrew or module. I am a high-level gamer, with experience from Level 1 all the way to 20. I would ask that any game or module we play take me to at least Level 15, Level 20 hopefully. I really hope I can make some new long-term friends who like to talk, like to keep in touch, and build friendships. I prefer to be in a game with other individuals who are OOCly 18+ years of age.

Peaks and Valleys: I really dislike stat arrays. I love to actually roll my dice. I'm a dice roller. I am usually one to roll 4d6-least. I even like to roll my HP rather than take average. I usually always play Human Variant, and the only other Race I ever played that I truly enjoyed was the SEALED DRAGON, yet she still looked Human any way. I very, very seldom play any other race. For classes, I love Monks, Wizards, Full-Support Clerics [Non-Combat], Arcane Archer Fighters, and Oath of Devotion Lawful Good Paladins.

What Kind of Player am I?: I am an intense 29-year-old gamer who loves to roleplay and loves battle. If you would like a ratio, I would say that I am roughly 60/40 roleplay/combat. I like to emphasize combat description, and also roleplay description. I am not much of a voice actress but I do my best. If I feel I am not up to par, I will fire up a voice module to help me get into character. I consider myself a "niche" player, where I really emphasize what my character is and what her alignment is. I play my characters to their alignment quite effectively. I have no problems roleplaying any kind of characters, from child prodigy characters to adult serious characters, from timid characters to government agents or kingdom military soldiers. I can play a wide variety of characters, and I play them with a kind of liveliness that really emphasizes their individual personalities. I have roleplayed any and all situations before, from the good to the bad to the romantic to the very dark.

Player to DM Camaraderie: I love the kind of DM who will challenge me, who doesn't have problems sending me up against things that are actually difficult. I am not the kind of player who enjoys a game where I am constantly steamrolling through stuff. I am looking for a great player experience as much as I am looking for friendship. I am looking for that DM who isn't afraid to make smart and intelligent villains, monsters that would look at my characters like a monster would, and intriguing storylines. I will do my best to be your best player; It doesn't take much to intrigue me (just keep me on my toes ^^).

Pay to Play?: My honest thoughts on this system are that I don't have issue with this, as I believe in by paying my DM for their service I am getting better in-game quality. The main issue I have been having with Pay to Play systems is that DMs tend to think of me not as a player anymore but as a customer. They service me in the game for 3-4 hours and then they just completely vanish, like I'm not a person. They don't like to talk to me, they don't like to discuss or actually be friends. I'm just a paying customer that he/she has to sacrifice for 3-4 hours per week because I paid them to do it. For example, I see a lot of DMs who run like as much as 8 - 15 games per week and I sit here wondering just how they could make any kind of time for others just to talk, chat, converse, be friends with. And I find that a lot of DMs who do this do not WANT to be a friend, nor do they want to talk after the game, or talk about their game. I've seen many DMs who have become kind of soulless in their games, just running for the sake of running and I could tell they had lost their passion for DMing and it's just a job you go into work for and get it over with. I have also experienced DMs who essentially try to tell or railroad me into playing something they would prefer rather than what I would like to play (Since I am going to be paying a DM between $78 - $100 Canadian per month, I should be allowed to enjoy playing what I like to play, right?). I am here looking for friends and looking to get to know people, and I don't mind the pay to play system, but I would prefer you treat me as a person than as a disposable commodity. After all, we're here to have fun, right? I hope I didn't sound too harsh in this. :)

How to Get Ahold of Me: Please reply here in this thread or DM me here on Roll20 if you wish to get ahold of me. We'll go from there. I really look forward to getting to know you. :)

You seem like a very dedicated player. I just sent you a PM about a group I’m starting. Hopefully, this will be a good fit.

Thank you for your kind compliment! I look forward to talking more about it. :)

I have found what I am looking for. ^^
