My profile picture

My profile picture won't change and stay with the new pic no matter what I do. I changed it over on Gravatar, but it didn't work. Wouldn't it be easier to allow me to have a picture that is not dependent on Gravatar? I know, that's begging the question. I am not sure what's wrong with the system.
Gravatar tells your browser to cache the image for an inordinate amount of time, so once you've seen the old picture, I believe you need to do a shift+f5 in order to force a refresh. Incidentally, is it supposed to be the black dragon? 'cause that's what I'm seeing.
It is supposed to be the black dragon, and that's what I see in this forum, but when I launch roll 20 the placeholder photo is generic. I say "placeholder" because I haven't had a video geed active yet (just testing things out on my own). Shouldn't it show my picture there?
Yeah, it should show your picture. Whenever I, or my players change their Gravatar usually an f5 or a shift+f5 pull it up right away. Can you try refreshing the screen while you're in the application? (Try hitting "f5" first, and if that doesn't work, hit "Shift+f5" and as a final act of troubleshooting, if that fails as well try clearing your cache & cookies in your browser and see if that works. Let me know if it works or doesn't.
It did not work. I see the proper picture only in the forums. Very odd.
I'm having the same problem
I figured it out. I had my email address capitalized, which apparently messes it up
I will check that out
Same thing here. I believe the roll20.net entry box is auto-capitalizing the e-mail which is then causing it to not sink if you used all lower case on Gravatar. Switching to lower case on here fixed the problem.
I too had a long standing problem getting my gravatar image to show up and I discovered the same solution. Looks like some case-sensitive string comparison is at fault.
