[LFP][Free][5e][18+] Group looking for players

Hello, We're a D&D group of 3 people looking for two to three more people to join us. We play D&D 5e with mostly homebrewed content outside of classes(races need to be approved by the DM). We have a major focus on role-playing with combat typically being secondary. We play using voice on Discord(mic is required) and everything else is handled on Roll20. We play weekly Fridays at 7:30pm EST and usually go until 11:00 - 12:00pm. If you're interested and able to commit to the above time slot/frequency, please provide a character bio below including: Name, Race, Class, and a brief bio. We will be doing interviews to make sure we click before we start up a campaign and answer any questions you may have. Hello! I'm curious about the setting of the homebrew content and what your usual campaign stories revolve around before fully diving in but I am interested. I'm still relatively new but I've played a few sessions of 5e and just want to get more accustomed to it. Character wise I'd feel I would choose a human mage, either a wizard or warlock after some more reading but also depending on party needs I am always happy to round out in any role. Names always change for each character of cour, e along with the bio on each setting. If just for a basic dnd fantasy setting I would imagine something of a student who was learning magic but kept dwelling into magics his teachers deemed dangerous or forbidden. This forced him to eventually leave to study on his own either becoming a warlock through a pact or a wizard with those (said to be) dangerous spells. He'd change his name from before and begin as an adventurer under a new name, with the worries of his research and identity being found out.

Hey folks. I saw the post and I am very interested in a roleplay centric game. My name James (33m). I have over 20 years of experience in table top (mostly D&D). I'm currently running a Cyberpunk Red game. I live on the east coast so the time frame would work well for me. I don't have a character in mind yet since I like to tailor my characters to the setting but I'm also willing to flex fill roles and allow newer players to play what they want to. Hi, I am Ben (38 M) and looking for another group to play in. I am currently in a wed night game that is a blast but almost entirely combat. I was looking around for a game that was more RP heavy to even out my gaming and scratch all my nerd itches. Time frame should work every week for me except of course for rare work emergencies / family summer vaca / weddings / etc. A part of the game I really enjoy is character creation, so I tend to play a character that fills a role the group is missing. Honestly, partly just because it makes it easier to decide what creation to play. One I am highly interested in playing is: type: scout / traps / stealth Name: Toppet Hazewood Race: Wood elf (halfling if it makes more RP sense in your world) Class: 1 level rogue / future levels in Monk-way of the shadow Bio: Toppet was sold to a underground assassin's organization. He was however lead to believe through  indoctrination that he was selected to train to be a part of a elite shadow force that works towards the good of the people in ways that those in the light can't. Right before becoming a official rand and file member he found out the truth and escaped the training compound. After fleeing across the country (or to another country) he now lives his life for himself. skeptical at time about being in large organized groups, but determined to find his own way in life, learn of the joys of life he was never able to partake in, and find people he can call true comrades ... although who knows how it will go since he lacks some common sense from being raised most his life in a assassin's training compound. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ other roles i have character concepts for are: Tank: halfling who as a child was told tall tails about how he has some giant blood in him. Now grown up he is obsessed with his giant background and is a rune knight fighter who carries weapons bigger than he can effectively use most of the time. Mage: middle aged human wizard, who recent was devoiced after finding out his wife was cheating on him, then got fired his dead end job in a magic association. Now he is becoming a adventure in his 40s in a "hail mary" to get back on his feet from square one. support: a older dwarf bard depressed at the world. He is not a edgelord, but after all his hardships in life he tends to see the glass half empty. (think Johny Cash mixed with Debbie Downer from those old SNL episodes.) I can actually commit to that time period, usually have nothing going on Fridays. Looking to learn and have some fun. Name: Erevan Galanodel Race: Wood Elf Class: Ranger Bio: From a small Elfish village in what they call the "Primordial Woods", Erevan, the youngest son of a family of 5 residing in the town of Fellalion, is an avid hunter, or sometimes notorious poacher, in the Elven woods and to many human law enforcement. Erevan has fought in many human wars as a mercenary and tracker, he has learned the general human ethos and has served with many humans; he, therefore, does not dislike humanity in general, but has seen the general corruption of many of humanities nobility and has therefore fostered a healthy distaste for authority. He is relatively young for an elf and has been seeking some form of adventure as his people have before him. He joined with a hunter's organization called, "The Hunt", that identifies with the marginalized groups of society, arguing for the causes of Liberty and Justice, while also seeking to find the famed White Buck, an almost mythological figure to those of the forest. The hunter of which, would go down in history as the greatest hunter in history. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or: Name: Decimus Quintus Brutus Race: Human Class: Fighter Bio: Decimus, a former Centurion/Sergeant, signed up as a youth and is a career soldier. He served with distinction and was promoted up the ranks. Eventually, however, his success was eyed by a greedy noble's son, jealous of this commoner's success. He staged a robbery of some expensive jewels and had Decimus implicated in the fake crime. He was arrested, but was able to prove his innocence in the robbery itself, but having in his possession the stolen jewels, was unable to prove his innocence in some elaborate role in the theft. He was saved from prison but dismissed from the army. Now, with his future stripped from him, and a lust for revenge against the noble family who did this, he serves as a mercenary, planning his return.
