New player, wishing to learn/play 5E DnD.

A bit about me: I am a 37 year old that deals with mental health disorders, one being major social anxiety.  I have over come them in the past through a time period of getting to know those around me.  I have played multiple DnD campaigns, those all being 3.5e, over 10 years ago.  Those campaigns being with friends, were for over 4 years, one lasting over a year and a half.  I am really looking for another group of people to play with, that I will have the opportunity to get to break through the getting to know you stage, and become a good and helpful member of the group.  (I have always been known as a very friendly person, and a great team player.)  I have read and tried to learn the new rules as best as I can, but you know they can't be perfected until put into practice.  I am willing to make sure I have all the things necessary to help me achieve that.  (I was a min/max'er, cleric on one of my campaigns, gave the DM a fit.)  I am willing to play anything, as I really am just looking for a group to associate with, as I am a very isolated person at the moment.  I would be able to play at any time and day, for as long as the game goes on.  I am sorry if this sounds needy or worrisome, it is just me.  Thanks for taking the time to read this and I appreciate the consideration.  (This was very difficult for me to post, not sure why I am saying, but yeah.)  Much love, treat each other right. -  Kevin Edit  (Also, willing to pay if it is appropriate, and needed.)
I feel you Kevin. I am a professional DM who runs a autism support and learning business for young students . My programs use Dungeons and Dragons and other games to teach in a way that the school system cannot. I am also suffering from social isolation and have minimal peer interactions. I posted a looking for player post in this forum for Weekdays morning to early afternoon......have a look and see what you think. I am looking for a group of beginner players to enjoy some casual gaming ( no META players) and social interactions with. This might work out for us.
