LFG Post Order

Hello Roll20 Team, I'd like to comment about a rather frustrating aspect of the Looking For Group forum: the posts in the search results do not appear in temporal order. I see posts from 7 years ago above posts from 4 years ago. I would like to request a simple "order by posting date" on that search query for the LFG forum. That would give me and any one else looking at specific searches an impression on how active a particular system is in the community. Or, as an alternative, simply show the posting date along with the title header, so a simple visual scan can tell me how old a post is. Thanks.

Great point. That would make it more useful and help connect people to games, which is a known common stumbling-block to getting started playing on here. The larger request is really, not limited to LFG, Add Sort Order functionality to Roll20 Community Forum Search Here is the latest commentary from Roll20 Team, Drespar said in 2021, <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5408768/advanced-forum-search-options" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5408768/advanced-forum-search-options</a> Ziechial presents a Google Search workaround. Other users have been asking for this for years on here, and a Roll20 Team Dev named Steve long ago said that it was "coming in the next couple of weeks", <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6865977/sort-search-results-in-forum-by-date" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6865977/sort-search-results-in-forum-by-date</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10532625/sort-forum-search-results" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10532625/sort-forum-search-results</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1422364/search-functionality-for-suggestion-forum" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1422364/search-functionality-for-suggestion-forum</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6341381/forum-search-filter" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6341381/forum-search-filter</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1240756/forum-search-feature-per-forum-slash-advanced-search" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1240756/forum-search-feature-per-forum-slash-advanced-search</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10523792/datestamp-for-forum-search-results" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10523792/datestamp-for-forum-search-results</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1480600/tags-advanced-searching-mechanics" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1480600/tags-advanced-searching-mechanics</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6556694/better-forum-search-and-categories" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6556694/better-forum-search-and-categories</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6677238/sort-forum-search-results-by-date" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6677238/sort-forum-search-results-by-date</a> <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6548839/forum-search-feature-sorting" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/6548839/forum-search-feature-sorting</a> Hopefully this will get released soon
I see. Well, let's see what happens. This is the sort of thing that ought to take a developer perhaps an hour to implement, speaking from my own programming experience. It can be done straight into the stored SQL, if they want to be lazy efficient. And it doesn't have to happen anywhere else but the FLG forum. But I am sure they have their own priorities. Here's hoping for the best.
You say it was 2021 that the dev responded, but when I go to the post, it says it was posted 4 YEARS ago. In the four years since, forum search remains almost entirely useless due to the complete lack of any kind of sorting or options. They have all these wonderful tags in LFG, but if you try searching for one you'll be met with closed threads from years ago because it pulls results randomly
