[LFG] L5R/Legend of the Five Rings New Player.

Hello anyone who is a fan of or is interested in L5R. I couldn't find any games being listed for the system so I have no idea if there's anyone here who's interested. I have been interested in L5R for a long time, but I never had the chance to join a game. I've been using this forum to recruit for my other game recently and thought I'd take a shot at finding one for myself. If you have a game looking for a player, or if you're interested in putting a game together let me know. I have never played the system before and I'm not even sure what edition is current. Hello! I ran a campaign here on Roll20 for my local group after we all went online from gathering restrictions. It wrapped just before Christmas. Not really in the position to run another yet, but would be happy to play the opportunity came about.  Regarding editions, there are 4 editions (5?) from Alderac Entertainment Group before the rights were acquired by Fantasy Flight Games. Believe FFG put out one edition to mirror their LCG and then shelved the line. I played the AEG products which had a fun system based on D10's, target numbers, and variable outcomes based on voluntarily raising the target number to get extraordinary results. Also, the dice "explode" when a ten is rolled, meaning you get to add another D10 to the roll each time this happens. I never played the FFG system, but from reading the rules looked to be very similar in mechanics to their Star Wars games. Which included the need for specialized symbol dice and the GM to "riff" a lot of outcomes based on the "opportunities" generated by each die roll. Hope that helps a bit!

I don't really want to run the game, since I'm running another but I probably could if no one else wants to. I'll ask around see if anyone I currently play with is interested. I own the fourth edition, I think, book with the d10 system. I also read either the third or second ed book back in high school. I did some research and found the FFG system and I did not care for it, but was worried that was the 'current edition' everyone would play. A foolish worry I suppose. I'll let you know if I get a group together.

Hi to you both. I already had 3 campaigns here on R20 that ran and 2 more that sadly did not started. But I would be willing to open up another one. Only edition that I use is 4th edition(Best version of game by far). And there is even character creator that helps with lot of math problems. I have few stories we can try and go through, depending on group preference. But it would need at least 1 more person, preferably 2 more to find.
