The Party Responsible is beyond "Outside" currently aboard the spelljammer, Red Odenate in the colored phlogiston mists of Wildspace. They are on their way to a country called, The Arch-duchy of Geoff. This is inside a crystal sphere floating in Wildspace called Greyspace . The reason they are in this predicament is that they are trying to find Scallapronon's Four Dangles. This trip started at Q'rem the Muntz ' observatory, high in the Critic's Teeth. The bronze dragon promised, in return for a book the party found for her, a map through the planes to find a titan named Hodos the Free . Like Q'rem, this titan was also a scholar and hermit out in the deepest of the Deep Astral Plane. Q'Rem said of those sages and scholars she knew of, he knew the most about something called the Far Realm. He also knew that the party must pass through the Far Realm to find the vehicle Scallapronon seeks. Hodos gave the party a huge information dump about the dangers of the Far Realm and about ways to avoid it. Hodos plan involved a prison break from a lich's sadomasocistic torture dungeon. This recovered a "ruined" elf wizard by the name of Taganazar . The sole survivor of terrible experiment to explore the Far Realm. Between the discussion with Q'Rem and the discussion with Hodos, Torkunde ignored almost all this flavor text so some details are lost. He only paid attention to all the combat. With Taganazar's "help" a new kind of portal was made from the Deep Astral, bypassing the Far Realm, into another universe called Wildspace. The party found themselves on the observation deck of a Spelljammer called The Red Odenate. Captained by Helen Swafford . The Odenate was on its way to Greyspace, which meant that, eventually, the party would be in sight of their goal! But there have been hazards too. So far the crew of the Odenate have fought off a hoard of ephemerals, the lost ghosts of the Phlogiston. And now they are in the middle of a battle with space worms and two giant Wildspace serpents!
