Eternal Loading

Since yesterday, I'm facing an issue with my Roll 20 Campaign. It keeps loading endlessly. It was working fine until Wednesday, but since yesterday the screen never stops loading on. I was able to open the map from another game I play not as a DM (a paid game - mine was the free version) - and it was fine, but mine doesn't show the map anymore, freezing as It's shown in the screenshot below.  My OS is Windows 7 (64 bit) | Chrome 98.0.4758.102 | Color Depth 24-bit | Javascript Enabled | With Cookies Enabled. And I've already cleaned the cash. The problem also persists on Firefox.

There are a number of reasons this could happen, from game corruption, to an overly complex DL map, to pernicious gremlins. The best recourse is to grab a Console Log ( Chrome ,  Firefox ) from the time of load failure and use it to file a  Help Center Request . Here on the forums is mostly community support.
Thanks, Keith. I'll contact the Help Center.
This is happening again, I contacted the Help Center.
My friends and I were playing last night; I had this happen once, and one of my friends did as well. All the 'loading' messages, like "Crafting spells list..." were cycling through much more quickly than normal while this happened.
I too am experiencing this I'm uk based wondering if its a region specific issue?

I have directed other posters to this thread. FYI, the Dev team usually works business hours for whatever their time zone is. Unless the problem is endemic (hopefully these are isolated incidents, it might take until after the weekend for resolution. Still, I have also reported this. Be sure to include a Console Log ( Chrome ,  Firefox ) in your  Help Center Request . Other things to try in the meantime: Loading from a private browsing page Creating a  Dummy Account , adding it to the game, promoting it to GM and see if it can load the game. The problem might be a specific page that can be deleted. Clearing cache and all cookies.
Hey folks! It appears that some games have had the issue resolved on their own, but for those that are still experiencing this, we should just need a help request with the name of your game/a link to the game to resolve the problem.

Hey, I'm not 100% sure my issue is the same because there are some specifics that are different, but I had this happen to me as well. The screen was stuck on loading, cycling fast through the loading messages like it did for you Eduardo. Here's what I figured out for myself: For me, it is the turn tracker being open when joining the game or switching maps that causes this. I can see you have yours open as well in the screenshot, maybe it's the same for you Eduardo? The actual issue (for me): All turn tracker functions are broken. Closing the turn tracker and reloading the page resolved the loading issue, but any turn tracker interaction is completely nonfunctional now. If the tracker is open, no methods of rolling initative like using my own macros or clicking it in the character sheet (using roll20 5E sheet) work, the rolls don't appear in the chat and nothing is sent to the tracker. Adding a turn manually by rightclicking a token or by using the tracker's interface is also not possible. As soon as I close the turn tracker, rolling for Initiative starts working again. ( EDIT : After trying again, rolling Initiative does work even with the turn tracker open, as long as your macro is not trying to send it to the tracker. So clicking the sheet without a token selected rolls Initiative, with a token selected it doesn't. Still, nothing shows up in the tracker.) All the other rolls made through the sheet or macros still work, it's ONLY Inititative being affected as far as I can tell. If I copy the game, the issue persists even if I untick every single option (when I am asked as to what I want to copy over) which should effectively copy an almost empty campaign. This is also only an issue in this specific campaign, I have created a dummy campaign and the turn tracker worked as intended there.I jumped through all the hoops of clearing the cache, disabling browser extensions and adblock and trying a different browser just to be sure, but this of course didn't help. I'm stumped as to what I did that caused this. The only thing besides adding and editing journal entries that even comes to mind is that I used the "Apply Default Settings" option to change a lot of setting -  including the DEX tiebreaker setting which is the only initiative related setting - at once for the entire campaign a couple of days before this, but I'm unsure if I tried out the turn tracker before or after that. Because, the last time I used the turn tracker to see if my tokens were set up correctly, it still worked. I will also send a help desk request with this info and my error log that the browser console spits out when I click "Initiative" while the turn tracker is open and see how it goes.
Bless u Pascal, your tip about the turn order saved my D&D-Session today :)  Pascal A. said: Hey, I'm not 100% sure my issue is the same because there are some specifics that are different, but I had this happen to me as well. I'm having the same issue, we had 6 people playing last night browsers where Chrome and Firefox. It would loop for all of us and wouldnt load any new maps, until the turn tracker was closed. I tested this morning, and having the turn tracker open, and moving to another map puts it in the endless loading loop. Hope this helps! As a side note, it is only on that Game. If I move to a different game I cannot repeat the results there. However if I copy the original Game, and swap to the copy, I can repeat the results there. So it is probably something to do with the specific Game itself.
Go into the turn tracker and Remove all turns(Clear List). Mine showed up empty and didnt have any text instead like it normally does. I think it is looking for a token that it cannot find and is in a search loop locking the loads up. After clearing that it appears to fix all of the issues I was having. Hope this fixes everyone's issue as well!
Oh my god, I can't believe it was that easy. I didn't even notice the text was missing. That fixed all issues for me, thanks Jordan. My problem was solved, but not by myself (yes, I asked for the support as I said I would. Since all the games I'm subscribed were working fine, with that exception it was obviously something not related to the browser or the cash memory. When those things happen, I always suspect the problem was something about the files being used in the game and the code upgrades in the system itself.
