The lands of Juscor were in a strange state. Across the
continent, wild beast acted more aggressivly than usual attacking travelers and
city dwellers alike. Some even reported hearing strange but calming voices that
sung to their senses, these voices became known as the “Melodies of Desires”.
Most of the people who heard the songs went missing after several weeks. No one
knew what the cause was, but it was enough to cause a stir through the
kingdoms.
The gnomes went underground, cutting themselves off from the
rest of the world to escape the madness created by the other races. The elves
blamed the dwarfs, while the dwarfs blamed everyone else. The races looked to
the humans for answers but they had none to share. Everyone was ignorant to
what the world had in store.
Ragged and torn bodies appeared along roadsides, their heads
were always gone and hands always charred black. A greater number of these bodies
appeared to gather along the roads leading through the Center Myron Forest, a
huge forest at the center of the Juscor continent. There was only one road
through the forest, The TradeWay, one of three routes that connected the
northern kingdoms to the southern kingdoms. Before the Melodies, merchants and
travelling troupes used the highway as the quickest route, now only the brave
and crazy found their way along the path.
Gashmere was the only town along the forest road. It sat in
an open valley at what most considered the midway point along the two hundred
mile path. It was a modest village that had turned frightened and protective
with the recent happenings around it. It had also become the base camp for many
hired swords sent to the forest to discover the cause of all the madness in the
world.
This is where your stories begins, perhaps you’re
one of the adventure seekers hoping to put an end to the chaos or maybe you
were just a traveler who on best judgment decided to stay protected in the
village confines. Whatever your story is, you’re about to be sucked into
something much larger. OOC INFO We will be using the Pathfinder System. Core Rules/Races Only. Game play will be over Mic using Google Hangouts. Communication out of game will be handled over skype or on forum. You need to be able to be reached over one of the other. Game play will take place at least once a week around 7pm EST US time and will run 2 to 3 hours. Game nights will most likely be Sunday-Thursday. When available I will usually ask players over skype/forum if they'd like to play and if I get enough to go, then we'll run a game. This will be a mixture of heavy role play and fighting, About Myself: I am a 28 year old married male. I have been gaming since 1997 over text medians such as Yahoo Chat, Lord of the Rings Online, and IRC. I've ran several games but I've never GM for a Pathfinder game. I've played it and understand it but I may miss some rules, so it will be a learning process. I already have three players, but they may not be able to play all the time. I am willing to take up to seven players. When I plan a game, the first few who can make it will play, if everyone wants to play on a given night, some may have to sit out. This will help you create a character and give you a general understanding of the system. Characters will start at Lvl 1 with 20 points.
