[LFP] [D&D 5E] [Homebrew] [Weekly Friday] Return to Akatera

1-2 Players wanted for the sequel to my previous homebrew game where all the effects and decisions of my previous players' actions from the last game are used to help shape this new adventure. Super quick synopsis: The world of Akatera, who has recently started to see the return of magic and half of its pantheon of gods return, suddenly found itself under attack from an interdimensional invasion force that saw the weakened realm as their next target to conquer and add to their empire of multiple worlds across multiple realms. If you want more details, feel free to read this: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1N7pKgBf8VCSzUAdj7Sr6FBWE2U-AV6HGGsMSAzr-TV8/edit?usp=sharing Game time are Fridays at 4 PM PST or 7 PM EST and run 3 to 4 hours. I strive for 50/50 RP to Combat, but some sessions may be more RP heavy and some more Combat. This is a LONG-TERM CAMPAIGN . We will start at lvl 3 and end somewhere around lvl 12-15. Level up will be by EXP. A little about me: I've been a DM and player for 5e for over 5+ years now, so I like to consider myself seasoned. Absolute chill personality and want to make games where everyone has a good time and a little escapism. My DM style is well rounded with some quirks I use to keep games interesting and I am always available to discuss ideas and/or tweaks with my players. Now about you: If you wish to be considered for this campaign I would like the following: Character concept and backstory. If you can tie it a little to my world with the help of the link provided above, edge to you! Who you are as a player. Your play style and what your expecting from this campaign. Things you DO NOT WANT in a game What's your favorite movie
Character Concept & Backstory: Tion Boneclaw (A Leonin Beast Barbarian). Tion was born of the survivors to a beastmen tribe name lost and forgotten to time. They were one of the first to be revenged by the invaders but a few managed to escape to onslaught. They traveled far to lick there wounds and to try to rebuild there clan. 25 years latter Tion was born of what remained of the survivors, living was tough for they had to adapt to the new lands they now call home. Many have died due to unknown predators as well as being killed by there own kin tribes all so trying to survive in this terrible times. On Tion's 25 birthday a scouting party of these invaders found the tribe and wiped most of them out. The only to survive was Tion by being hidden by debris of a fallen hut. That Day he vowed to revive his tribe, reclaim his stolen lands, and destroy the invaders once and for all. (Fill free to change any of this since this is your world after all, this was just my rough draft and would love to improve it with your help) Play Style/As a Player: I love to build a story with my fellow players and DM. To make an awesome world even better weather we are the good guys or bad guys as long as we have fun that is all that matters to me. I usually play tanks but i don't mind playing a role that the party needs Don't Wants: Usually the basic stuff like X rated thing are usually fade to blacks ect. Fav Movie: If i had to pic a favorite it would be Iron Man 3. The reason i love that one is mainly the comedy and the "House Party" scenes.

Character Concept & Backstory: Aeon Kepesk, (Blue Dragonborn, Tempest Cleric) Upon being born, Aeon was left in a cave of a Adult Dragon up in the mountains. For reasons he had never known. Whether his family/clan didn't want him, they wanted to hide him, or the dragon owned the family a favor. He never thought to ask as he saw this dragon as his father. As he was the one who raised him, taught him how to speak, read, write, and even how to fight. The dragon allowing him to read any books he may have had in his hoard. Aeon oddly was always attracted to storms, when they happened outside the cave, once even being struck by lightning, but upon his father inspecting him after it happening, he had received no damage to him. One day once Aeon had reached maturity, a army came after his father. Trying to protect Aeon, the dragon push him into a part of the cave that he would be safe and hidden. Fighting the army on his own he inevitably was killed, harvested for his scales and other useful body parts. As well his hoard was taken. Once the army was gone Aeon came out from where he was hidden, finding his dead father. Inspecting any of the dead soldiers that may have been left behind he didn't recognize any of the symbols of any powers that his father would have taught him about. With the only family he ever known dead, he grabbed some gear his father had actually set aside for him that was a gift once he had reach maturity. He also grabbed what little he could find use of in the cave. Before setting out to find and kill the ones responsible for the murder. Only time will tell what he will come across on the way. (I am very much open to making alterations to the backstory.) Play Style/As a Player: I may start out a bit quiet at first until I get used to all the new people. But once comfortable I'll heavily enjoy Role Playing. I love building stories with the other PC's and DM. I love voice acting my character(s) to make them feel more alive, it also lets others know when I am speaking in-character. As long as everyone is treated equally and we are all having fun, then I'm all for it! Don't wants: X-rated stuff, which can just fade to black, no rape to other PC's. PvP that ends up with one dying, sparing is alright though. Fav Movie: Currently? John Wick Series

Character concept and backstory. If you can tie it a little to my world with the help of the link provided above, edge to you! Myrkvar Firinne, Shadar-Kai Elf, Druid, Circle of the Shepherd: A naive and somewhat macabre young storyteller, his tribe are devout worshippers of Tiaga who practiced the art of channelling the spirits of departed animals, nature spirits and great heroes through their totems and stories, melding their religious worship with the druidic arts. As the war with the invaders and the conquest of Akaterra by their forces have forced his people from their ancestral lands, they seek a new home and to find their place among the other civilisations and settlements of the world. Myrkvar has set about trying to learn the histories and stories of the other people and cultures across the land, in order to spin a new tale for his people in these dark times. Yet, only Tiaga knows if his search for lore and mysteries will have a happy ending, or lead him to the same doom as his ancestors... Who you are as a player. Your play style and what your expecting from this campaign. As a player, my favourite parts of the game are storytelling, narrative, and RP. I really like to be able to play together with a bunch of chill, like-minded people to create a great story and have loads of fun along the way. Generally I prefer a game with a focus on RP, narrative and storytelling over combat. I love being part of a group of interesting characters and seeing how their individual personalities and stories change and develop over the course of the an overarching plot. Out-of-combat RP and character interactions are some of my favourite parts of the game. I don't always expect massively ambitious or extensive concepts or plotlines (although more extensive worldbuilding, characters and complex quests are always a big plus for me if the DM wants to do that) but I generally prefer a good story experience over a standard combat-based dungeon crawl. I always try to put as much effort as possible into making an interesting and unique character concept and fleshing out my character's backstory, so I also enjoy being able to work with the DM to incorporate my character's background into the campaign. I enjoy combat and epic fights, but it's not as much of a priority for me. Things you DO NOT WANT in a game As D&D is a socially collaborative game, I'd rather not play in a game with people who are disrespectful to other players or to the DM, or don't obey the general rules of social courtesy and conduct (i.e. PvP without consent, refusing to cooperate with other players, hogging the spotlight, murderhobo-ing, sexual assault on PCs or NPCs, etc.). I'm looking for a chill group who are interested in working with each other and with the DM to have fun, not lone wolves who are looking to act out their own fantasies at everyone else's expense. What's your favorite movie The original 1979 Alien film. I'm a big horror fiction/movie/game fan, and I've always appreciated the "used future" aesthetic design. It has always felt like one of the few horror movies in which the characters act in a way which feels natural to their jobs, life experiences and in-universe knowledge instead of being forced into a particular character stereotype to fit the plot. I also enjoy how it can be enjoyed as just a thriller/slasher horror experience, but also allows for deeper analysis of the symbolism and themes behind the movie due to the interesting design and unfathomable motivations of the titular creature.
