I'm looking to join a game, preferably not one currently in progress, but if you have a spot open, I am happy to take that as well - under the impression that my spot is tentative upon whether I actually fit with the group. I've been playing tRPGs since I was very young, in the range of 20 years at this point, on and off. I tend to fill roles, and prefer story-heavy games to crawl-heavy or action-focused games. That said, my characters tend to be built towards being efficient within the system, while maintaining concept. I don't believe in the idea that the roleplayer and the 'optimizer' are mutually exclusive concepts, and that a character who intends to contribute would do everything in their power to achieve that goal - including having the best training available to them. I enjoy intraparty conflict as much as intraparty interaction - a good character with a solid flaw can make a cohesive party into one with tension and full of real and colourful people - not everyone gets along and agrees, having a group of heroes who always agree with each other is very bland and uninteresting to me. I generally prefer text-based games, using voice as OOC chatter to improve the speed and gameplay, especially for Exalted, but am open to voice-chat primary games if the group has promise to resolve to remain largely IC, instead of a mixture of voice chat IC and OOC where it's hard to tell when a player is speaking and when a character is speaking. My schedule in generally open - I'm available at most times during the day, with only Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays being off-limits, as I currently partake, as both player and GM, in other games. Ultimately, I am also open to GMing these games, but would prefer to play as I tend to be on the GM side of the table more often than not.
