Map Creation Transparency Help

Hi All, When trying to create my own maps in photoshop or customising brought maps to allow transparency for lining up the Roll20 grid. I'm wondering what PNG settings are best to export with? I'm having an issue when trying to line up the map grids with the Roll20 grids. The Roll20 grid doesn't show through. As if there is no transparency. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

That sounds like you have the map image on the token/object layer.  Be sure that your map image is on the map layer.  The Roll20 grid is between the map layer and the token/object layer.

That works to show the grids....BUT when I select it as map layer. It locks the map and im unable to adjust/move it to line up with the grids that are now showing. Thanks for the swift response!

You need to move the map image to the map layer and work on it there. Right click on the image when you are on its layer and choose to send it to the map layer from the popup menu.

There are various methods of aligning a map to the Roll20 grid discussed on this help page; hopefully one of them will work for you. Aligning Maps Edit: Also, if you want to move or resize the map WITHOUT it snapping to the grid, try holding town Alt (or Option) when using the mouse.

Or right click and select Advanced-&gt;Is Drawing.
