Hello adventurers! ---- We are looking for a few new people (new players welcome) to join a new campaign as players, Wednesdays at 8:30pm GMT+1. We are a group of four who play regularly together, forged from legends and mishaps in D&D, and enjoy meeting others who enjoy the game. It will be half homebrew, half prewritten with the Candlekeep Mysteries book as the base game we are bouncing off; but not based in the Forbidden Realms. Concept (with lvl 1 Characters ) --- Chosen ones find themselves bound to the multidimensional library of Candlekeep as its protectors - unless they can find a way to free themselves of this duty... The ‘Chosen’ ones can be picked in several ways. Some incur debts to famous wizards who offer them up to Candlekeep to pay their own debt, some are cursed as revenge and some seek out the duty to learn the secrets of the multiverse in this fortress of knowledge. The players are encouraged to come up with their own reasons if inspiration strikes as to why they have been summoned to the library. The world Candlekeep belongs to would be unknown to the players but a Candlekeep exists in every world and as such they know some of its reputations. The type of game will depend on how players go about playing. There will be some combat, some puzzles and some roleplay (and fun smooshed in everywhere). Players will be encouraged to give feedback from time to time (after missions are completed) as to what sorts of things they’d like to do next from downtime sessions to bigger missions. Prologue --- You will each wake up in a crypt of dusty books and broken skeletons to be greeted by Miiryn, the spirit dragon. She’ll hum and ah, calling you all the echoes of Alaundo. She’ll ask your names, where you came from and how you came to be here. She’ll explain that the fates have chosen for you to serve at this fortress of knowledge before transporting everyone to the Keeper of Tomes office.
