Storm clouds gather once again over the village of Hommlet. The seemingly quiet settlement has a dark history of chaos an violence. Locals are beginning to get nervous are more and more signs show evil may be stirring again. Bandits plague the roads, monsters prowls the dark parts of the forests, and wild storms appear at random and out of season. The merchants who still travel the roads through Hommlet arrive with more and more guards. Some have begun to linger in town sensing adventure and gold and glory are to be had. Arriving with a similar caravan you yourself have taken a room the The Inn of the Welcome Wench. Your reasons and goals are your own but you sit now in the taproom gauging the other patrons trying to determine if any would make suitable companions. Temple of Elemental Evil is one of the most iconic campaigns of all time. I have updated and reworked the adventure for use with D&D 5E. Many of the familiar faces and plots remain and many more have been added. Revisit this classic or experience it for the first time. Danger and glory await.... About me: I am a long time DM with more than 30 years of experience in almost every edition of D&D and many other games as well. I have more than 2800 hours logged in Roll20. I enjoy storytelling and seeing what stories the players create as well. About the game: Challenging combat will be a regular occurrence and the occasional puzzle or mystery to solve. I will sometimes play NPCs "in character" using a silly voice or other shtick but most role-playing will be more narrative. I use the most beautiful and detailed maps I can find from some of my favorite artists, but I do not create my own. So, some unexpected encounters will not have a map and may take place completely in our imagination, unless combat happens. Then we improvise a tactical map. I use dynamic lighting heavily and custom tokens. I do not usually add music during combat as I find it a distraction to managing the flow of the encounter. I hope I have addressed many of your questions but I am sure you all have many more.
