They pulled her into the relative safety of a tavern, blood gushing onto the floor and soaking into the sawdust. “What the hell is going on here?” The barman screamed, his face paling a little at the sight of the blood. Most of the group that had just entered ignored him, instead working to try to save their friend. “What was that?” One of them asked, a kobold wearing the armour and weapons of a fighter, peering anxiously towards the doorway. “It’s called an Abushai,” replied a gnome who was examining the injured dwarf. The injured dwarf was heavily bleeding from some nasty gashes across her front. They looked like they'd been made by large claws. “A what?” This came from a goblin who wore some armour scraps, and seemed to be carrying a fence post and pot lid to use as a sword and shield. “Abushai,” the gnome replied, then explained, “They are servants of Tiamat.” “Oh…” The goblin looked thoughtful for a moment while the gnome desperately tried to heal their injured companion. “What the hell are Tiamat’s minions doing in Baldur’s Gate?!?!?!” “I don’t know… And this isn’t working…” The gnome continued frantically trying to stop the bleeding from his friend and ally. The final member of their party, seemingly human, stepped up and spoke in a loud voice. “Baldur’s Gate is under threat, and we are the front line. Does anyone know of a healer willing to offer their services, both immediately for our friend here, and for future engagements?” The Perks Signature Items! I reward good roleplay, clever planning, and I'm not afraid to give my characters a pile of gold to spend. Of course, getting your hands on that much gold may have other consequences… Impact Your World! My games are a living world. The actions players take could have consequences that would be felt for miles around, and it's not realistic to expect everything to be back to normal when you've moved onto the next town. This does mean that both positive and negative effects can be seen due to player choices.
