The Border Guards is a daring adventure of swords and sorcery , set against a dramatic backdrop of war, intrigue and upheaval. Players will take on the role of the titular Border Guards - a loose coalition of mercenaries, hired blades, adventurers and miscreants (with an occasional paladin thrown in) full of burning passions for treasure, fame and glory. It will fall upon your shoulders to protect the rugged, untamed and beautiful lands of the Range from a terrible barbarian invasion while dealing with evil sorcerers, dark cults, desperate outlaws and corrupt nobility. Will you prevail and emerge rich and famous - or will death claim you, and your bones be buried amidst the burned cities and ruined lands? Touchstones: pretty much any 'high fantasy' media you can think of, from Tolkien's works all the way down to Abercrombie, Sapkowsky and George Martin.
