Character sheet and token permission

I am part of a game that uses a few different tables, so we frequently use the Character Vault to move characters from table to table. However, we've also just recently figured out that restricting the permissions on tokens make it so one character with good dark visions doesn't illuminate the map for everyone. *This is extremely desirable*. However - it gets really annoying when moving characters from table to table. If the sheet and token permissions aren't set to "All," when it is imported into a new game, the sheet isn't visible (to the player who imported it) and the token isn't moveable.  Is there a way to achieve the illumination goals without having the GM have to mess around with sheet and token permissions every game?

Token permissions come from the assigned sheet, so you shouldn't have to mess with those. However, Roll20 does restrict control over imported characters to the GM's discretion. There's probably a reason for this, though I don't table hop, so I could only guess.I suppose it is so the GM has control over their game table.

Is it a Pro game? A script could change the default to "all players", though I doubt it's possible to dig up the pre-import permissions - player id's change between Campaigns so there'd be little point storing them on the import. Or even the export, for that matter.
