Thank you for signing up. Dolby Axon is a free download: https://axon.dolby.com/ All content legal for D+D Adventurers League is legal for character creation. That means: - All classes and races in the PHB are legal for play. - If you are playing a human you may use the normal human benefit ("+1 to all ability scores") or the "Variant Traits" option ("+1 to two ability scores, one extra skill, and one extra feat") - You must use the 27 point buy system in the PHB to generate stats. (Note that the chart of how many points it takes to get each ability score value is different in 5th edition that it was in previous editions. The chart is on PHB page 13.) - You cannot roll for hit points. You always take the highest value on the die at first level, and the fixed value (e.g. 5 for a d8, 6 for a d10, etc.) given on level up. - For starting equipment you can either take it as determined by your class and background, or take the maximum possible value on your starting gold die roll (based on class) and use it to buy any mundane items. (This means any item in the "Armor", "Weapons", or "Adventuring Gear" section of the PHB.) - You can't make characters of evil alignment. More information about D+D Adventurers League can be found here: http://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/ADVLeague_P... Note that unlike the Pathfinder Society (which had lots of special rules about how you gain XP and treasure), in here the only main differences between D+D Adventurers League play and normal play is as follows: - You can "respec" your character (keeping any XP, treasure, etc) at any time until you reach 5th level. - You can join a "faction". These are described in the Adventurers League players guide - basically you can get special missions for your characters and gain faction points. There will not be any special faction missions in HotDQ, but if you join a faction you have a better chance of getting a raise dead spell if your character dies. - You are required to divide gold piece treasure evenly at the end of each adventure. - If multiple players want the same permanent magic item, the player who currently has the fewest permanent magic items has priority. - Once it is decided at the end of the adventure who gets a permanent magic item, that item cannot be traded to another player in a future adventure (except for special circumstances) - At the end of each adventure you get 10 "downtime days"; these can be spent on downtime activities as per the PHB. Note that further communication about this game will go through the forum on the D+D Adventurers League Online Collective google group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/dnd-advent...
