Now that the stone was in hand, it was time to decide who would have the dubious honor of attuning one self to it. After consideration, it was decided that Enigma would be the one to do so. Focusing on the stone over the course of an hour, Enigma would form a bond with the Stone of Golorr... he would later describe the experience as thoroughly unpleasant and that Golorr was an asshole. Additionally, he started to stink like dead fish, as a sour stench emitted from him due to his attunement with the stone. Perhaps he had gained other abilities as well, but the secrets within Golorr's mind were now his to access... Over the course of the day, the team would converse with their faction contacts to inquire information about the things needed to open the Vault of Dragons. Through Enigma relaying the information about the Stone, and after lengthy discussions with Remalia Haventree of the Harpers, Ziraj of the Zhentarim, Jalester of the Lord's Alliance, and Valetta of the House of Inspired Hands, the things and the locations they were in were as follows... A treasure of gold worth nothing to most but everything to one, deduced to be Xanathar's prized goldfish, Sylgar. A weapon forged to destroy evil, determined to be a Mace of Disruption that was interred with Caladorn Cassalanter, a former Masked Lord, under Cassalanter Villa. A life-sized metallic unicorn, believed to be one of the floats that belong to the Sea Maidens' Faire it uses during parades. A tyrant's mask, believed to be the mask of the infamous tyrant Manshoon, the original founder of the Zhentarim. These items were the keys needed to open the vault according to the Stone of Golorr. In addition, the vault was located in the Brandath tomb in the City of the Dead, and guarded by a gold dragon named Aurinax, who was also in possession of the Dragonstaff of Ahghairon. It's unclear currently what connection that particular family name has to the Vault, but it would likely become clear with time. The idea of possibly ditching the stone was discounted when Enigma revealed that it had threatened him in a vague manner. Plus, its ability to create a Legend Lore effect might prove useful in determining information about some of the targets involved, as they will surely be of legendary importance... What comes next is up to the party, as they determine which direction they want to go in. What trouble will they encounter in their pursuit of the keys for the Vault?
