Greetings to those all interested in the Rise of the
Runelords adventure! I go by Xenothanes here and I am currently looking to
start another group for this AP. That's right, I am currently running one with
my friends on Sundays but sadly RL and work has my players not
available in the recent months, so the amount of time in between has me itching to start another
one. [Self] I have been a DM for a while then went as a player on for a while, and then tried to be a DM again then back to player, and now DM again, but life and work has interfered on more than one
occasion for my self as well. The longest campaign I ran was about 2-3 years?
Which I homebrewed everything and honestly my only success so far. Since then I haven't had the same passion
to DM the same way as then until I saw this AP and started having fun again. I'm having a lot fun so in my
first group for it (I've added a little homebrew and mythic rules as well), but alas, one could say I am glutton for more of it. As far
as my DM style, I couldn't tell you. I try to do unique voices for some but not
all npcs, and I do love a good set of roleplayers but I don't try to force some rp unless it's entirely bland (my character does this, or my character does that. never really embracing the character as their own in any sort of way). I try to keep a good balance
of rp and combat. [Themes] That being said, there are a lot dark themes in this AP (primary reason for the
18+) so if that is not your cup of tea, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I
am also no stranger to swearing, but I don't go about it excessively and I'm
not forbidding it. As long as it kept in a rational manner i.e. "That
bastard got away!" or "Well we're up shit's creek". Cussing out
another player is also frowned upon in or out of game. In game though I would
keep it at a reasonable level. Once again, i.e. a party member blows up a
friendly(?) store for no real reason or accidentally= -Acceptable: "Blimey! What you do
that for you asshole?" "Gods be dammed Jerry! What in the 9 hells
you do that for?" but going overboard on the berating and slander is the no go I'd be
watching out for. Anything else that comes to mind feel free
to PM or ask here, I don't mind. [Players] I am looking for FIVE players.
New or old, doesn't matter as long as you haven't done Rise of the Lords (to
avoid spoilers and metagaming obviously) and punctual people. Have interesting ideas or need help with character creation, or just new to pathfinder in general? I can make time to help with you with what you need, and I love making unique things for or with my players. The time I am
looking for is Saturdays at 4 pm EST, with the first session 0 being this
Saturday if we have enough people, otherwise we can always do next Saturday. For
those interested, Id be willing to play until whenever the party decides. After
that, probably anywhere from 3-6? hours of time with breaks in between of
course, and depends on how people play or decide upon a set time to end (some
may like to roleplay more, some may want to do stuff in downtime, all cool with
me. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to amount of hours playing). For punctual
things, please if you cannot attend, kindly let me know in advance, at least a
day or two preferred. I know irl can spring surprises on people but if you have
something else scheduled ahead of time and wait until after to either tell me
or not tell me at all, I find that kind of thing a bit a little disrespectful
to not just me, but also to the people you're playing with. I'm not going to
kick someone the first time it happens, but if it becomes a bad habit I will remove
you if you don't wish to sort things out. Voice required as we will be using my discord, which if
selected to play, I will PM game link and discord. Pretty much a first come, first serve basis. [Free] As noted above, I'm doing this in my free time and for free. No monetary payments required to play, the only payment I require is punctuality.
