Using Kristy's Multi-World Calendar, Anyone?

Hey Everyone! So, I'm using this really amazing Mult-World Calendar found here  to run a Modern Setting of nWoD. It's really nice, my favorite Calendar API, save-for one feature I'm not sure is present for the Modern Calendar. Moon Phases. To help keep track of the moon phases for various reasons, I was curious if anyone had managed to get Moon Phase to work for the Modern Calendar? It's such a wonderful API script, and I certainly can get by without it - just was poking to see if anyone using it had added a few lines to pick it up.
I wonder why the image for it is screwed up?  It appears to be using an emoji for the moon button and breaks?

My guess would be its because real-world moon phases dont divide perfectly into days, and you need to know what the moon phase was at a hostorical date, and perform a calculation to find out what it is at the year, month, and day you are looking at. That is a level of complexity beyond what the Multi-World Calendar does.

I'm pretty sure it would if that url wasn't broken.  The button for moon just isn't displayin the current moon phase cause its calling images from the wiki pages that apparently got deleted.  The script is actually really good for the fictional calendars, it even manages weather right.

I looked at the code ages ago (when I was playing Pendragon and was dabbling with the idea of adding a feature to "calculate the date of Easter" through the 6th century in the Julian calender), and noticed it doesnt really consider the historic year. It also calculates phases using integers, and doesnt account for phases that shift part way through the day. So even if the pictures were available, it couldnt properly calculate the moon faces of a real Earth. It's great - really, really great - for fictional worlds where everything is calculated conveniently smoothly.

Yeah but how do we fix that broken url lol?  It doesn't calculate the moon at all, its calling an image that is no longer hosted on the wiki.

All the images seem to come from Wikimedia Commons. If something about where they are stored is forbidding hotlinking, perhaps they could be downloaded and stored to a new spot, say a Roll20 user library, or Imgur. Then update the script to point to the new images.

As I understand it, an image in a user library can be used anywhere on the site, in or out of the VTT. I believe some script writers keep a  Dummy Account  for this express purpose. They might break if you exceeded your quota, (haven't tested), but this is one of the reasons for the Dummy Account. If you want to go to the trouble of updating, I'd be willing to test, since we have no Roll20 links or interaction outside of the forum.
I did notice that images were broken for Calendar's like Faerun, and I figured it was an issue with the link. I think we could easily just host the image on imgur-or some form of image hosting that would let the code call to it  - but the Modern Calendar doesn't even seem to call phases. I was hoping there was a way to get Phases on the Modern Calendar myself, at the very least. But I see that might be more difficult then simply getting it to work correctly for the fantasy ones.
Hi! It seems that The Aaron fixed the issue of the broken moon images in a previous post. Works perfectly for me :) Here's that link for reference: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10257231/moon-images-no-longer-showing-in-greyhawk-calendar-api" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/10257231/moon-images-no-longer-showing-in-greyhawk-calendar-api</a>
