I'm a new GM to Stars Without Number, but I do have more than enough experience in RPGs to hold my own. As the topic title says I am looking for a player or two for Wed. Night sessions Around 8:00PM - 12:00AM EST. I have one player but still need one or two more. If you are interested or have any questions either post it here or message me. Excepting new or experienced players, It is sad that I need to state this, but a level of maturity(18+) is required. Further details will be shown below; I'll try to answer some of the regular questions I get about RPGs, myself, & the system we'll be playing. What is Stars Without Number? Stars Without Number is a retro science fiction role playing game influenced by the Old School Renaissance and partially inspired by the great fantasy role-playing game editions written by Tom Moldvay and Frank Mentzer. Think along the lines of D&D meets space. What should I know? The year is 3200 and mankind's empire lies in ashes. The Jump Gates fell six hundred years ago, severing the links between the myriad worlds of the human diaspora. Now, the long isolation of the Silence falls away as men and women return to the skies above their scattered worlds Will you be among them? Where can I find the core book either it be PDF or other? T he Official free download PDF: Link Please take note: it is a confusing system and strange character design I'll gladly guide one through it. What type of Game Master are you, what should I expect? Good question! Always get a handle of your GM before hand, so you wont get dropped out of the sessions for unwanted disgruntled behavior. Nor find yourself in a this guy is just out to kill the characters and or random illogical rule bending/breaking. My friends call me the table/rules lawyer which is justified but here me out; I am consistent, you wont see me changing the rules every session or unjustifiably throwing the book at the players. I'm more role play oriented in my sessions rather than a hack-in-slash all session every session. Thus I rewards XP for strong character/NPS interactions and playing in the shoes of your character. Level? Stat rolls? Odds an Ends -All players start out as level 1 and all rolls are done in Roll20. -There are 3 main classes, each with over 8 different paths, 24 backgrounds, with their own skills talents. -Rules of rolling attribute scores are in the core book. 3d6 are rolled six times and the results are assigned to the attributes in the order listed down. -Max HP first level. -There is no reliable character sheets that I found yet, so all the info will be added into Roll20 "Character/Handouts" -I insist on a background of ones character is desired but not minatory. Take Note: all players start on same home world. -We'll be using Skype for the voice platform -We have a Psychic, one to two more players needed. - Stars Without Number Review The Setting? The game takes place in a galaxy, also known as a Sector. This Sector is called: Korphler. This particular setting is a variant of a sandbox play through with some guided story as the players interact with the factions, planets, and aliens. The Sector could be influenced by your actions. In part you can do what you want really in this grand story your apart of. Examples? become scavengers, mercenaries, cargo distributors, start ones own faction/clan anything! Take up a side with a particular faction(s) and change the face of the Sector.

My friend and I would be highly interested in joining in, although I'm not one for time zones, so clarification would be appreciated

Yep, no problem. I'm running SWN on Sundays. Trying to help push the game into Roll20. Maybe we can get a LFG Tag, to rival Other Games. Good luck with it. I set up 36 worlds this past week and it was a bear.
I would love to join if there is still room.
I'm interested in SWN greatly, however I would like GM experience more than anything, so if you happen to be looking for a CO-Gm to help with the faction turn process and general creation I would love to do so.
Thank you all for your time, there is no more room currently.
