DM 'HALT!' Button

Score + 51
Another thing my group would find very useful is a button the DM can hit to stop players moving - ie. cuts all player permissions to move tokens. Most commonly needed when players move from 'exploring' mode and enter combat: eg. players are moving around the map, then one of them walks into a trap or a room full of monsters. DM can hit the 'HALT!' button and then combat commences with the rest of the party in whatever position they might be when that combat was triggered. Once initiative is rolled or DM describes the scene, he then gives the players control of their tokens again.
This is a really good idea! I up vote! It would be even more cool if the GM could use the scripting API to designate lines or areas that trigger the HALT! button automatically, preferably raising a message flag referring to the room/trap number so the GM could look it up in her notes to describe things and generate initiative before handing control back to the players.

There are api scripts that give this functionality. Here's one called tokenLock: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1033747/script-tokenlock-allows-gms-to-selectively-prevent-players-from-moving-their-tokens/" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1033747/script-tokenlock-allows-gms-to-selectively-prevent-players-from-moving-their-tokens/</a> I still agree with you and wish it was a default feature, but at least you have this option for now.
Thanks Spren, but i don't think you can use scripts with a Plus subscription?
The game's creator needs to have an active Pro level subscription to use API scripts in the game.
+1 They just added lockable tokens, but I'd love to have a quick way to lock/unlock all of them (and yes, I know I could use an API script to do it). Even better if it tied in to the initiative order (unlock only when its your turn, or there's no initiative order active).&nbsp; Some of my players have a lot of trouble changing gears from exploration to combat, and I routinely have to move tokens back to where they should be when someone moves out of turn.
