You like Dark Fantasy. You like struggling to do the right thing. You like living in a hostile, dangerous environment. You like discovering the mysteries and myths of this world and bringing justice to those who need it. Of course you do, that's why you're an Academian. Hi, my name is Leo and I've been a professional GM for almost three years now. I've ran multiple TTRPGs in my time because its my favourite hobby. Concurrently, I'm running and playing in four to five games a week now. While this game group that I'll assemble here will play FREE, I do have some paid games on the side if you ever find yourself interested! Let me explain you about this game. This is an original setting and adventure of my own creation. Quickly summed up, you could describe it as early 19th century dark victorian fantasy world in which magic is interweaved into peoples lives and society. You will all play spellcasters (independantly from your class, as it is a bonus) that work for an Academy of Magic helping solve crimes and mysteries. If you wish to learn further now you can go here. But regardless, this game WILL NOT be a full campaign on its own. Rather a loosely connected series of adventures written by me which need playtesting. And what better way to do so, but to have some fun while at it? Most adventures will be done in 1-2 sessions, so I shy away from Oneshots as a description, but some you will be able to finish within a Session. One of the most common terms I can describe the play as is "monster/bad guy of the week" vibe, with travelling to different locations within the setting solving crimes and mysteries. While an adventure is written and uploaded here, the game will be run weekly if possible and then there will be a period of downtime in which there will be no game (I am human and run many other games so it can be a matter of weeks or maybe a month or two), but there should always be some sort of consistency as I expand the world building and add new adventures. You will be allowed to keep the characters between them as well as any loot you come across, just like in a regular DnD campaign, just know you wont be having that continuity you can expect from DnD campaigns. Sometimes an adventure will be done in a in-game weeks time, other times years will have to pass! As for the starting time, know I can budge a bit up or down by a couple of hours but know that I live in GMT+2 and I am human and need to sleep! I think that will be all! If you wish to apply, knowing all these things, please do so in the roll20 LFG topic posted below, following the template and I really insist you read the document provided within it! Merry investigation, Academian.
