
Synopsis: The world is still limping away from the cataclysmic war that ravaged heaven and earth nearly a century ago. Divinity left the world when the wicked goddess called The Usurper brought civilization to its knees with her fae and elf followers. She slew the gods of the old pantheons, and cursed the land where their corpses fell. Anywhere there was wilds, the elves came. In all the deep and dark places of the earth, wicked Unseelie fae would claim the isolated and trapped mortals who routed from their city strongholds. Entire cities were reclaimed by nature, kingdoms fell, and... Then, they left. The Usurper, and her elves, vanished shortly after the old goddess of Civilization was murdered. What is left now is for heroes to pick up the pieces and renew the world. The city of Heshmala needs such heroes. Reclaim the overgrown wilds, renew the windscarred deserts, fight back the nightmares that crept in, build new settlements, find new gods-- or make them-- and thrive once again. Your Role: You will play a would-be hero with ideas above your station in a sandbox style urban renewal game, starting at Level 4 and reaching at least to Level 12 . Cleanse lands of aberrations and undead, beat back belligerent civilizations, make deals with dragons and elementals, all to ensure your survival in a savage world. The player characters will all start knowing each other, which will be worked out during or possibly before a session 0, so they'll all have a reason to stick together through the game's story. I intend for this to be a weekly game on weekends, on Sunday at 4PM PST, played 4 hours minimum and 6 hours maximum per session.
