Fred Lang's PixelFigs™ First Token Pack is Released!

MAGICAL BEASTS I  is now available on the Roll20 Marketplace!  Making these virtual gaming miniatures under the PixelFigs banner is now my full-time job.  I've cleared my schedule of all other freelance work to concentrate solely on providing high-quality gaming pieces for your games.  There is no "day job" for me.  I'm not a hobbyist.  Making art is what I do for a living, and I'm hoping that the army of PixelFigs I'll be creating over the next weeks and months will be the success I think they can be! Over the next few days, I'll be tweaking the PixelFigs website , Facebook page and Twitter feed.   All PixelFigs are digitally hand-painted, custom creations.  I paint them at extremely high resolution for maximum detail and scalability.  The 5X5 square figures are painted at 700X700 pixels.  I won't be skimping when it comes to creating larger creatures at scale--so when you see a Great Wyrm Red Dragon from me, you'll know that it's painted at a whopping 4200X4200 pixels to accommodate its 35X35-foot space!  You'll be able to see the coins and gems encrusted in the scales of that dragon at full size. There will be no compromises in bringing you the best that I can bring you every time. I like the look of your work. I don't need too much of the Monster Manual stuff because I don't do any AD&D. I could only use 2 or 3 of these. Do you plan to do commissions? 

@Devin--thank you!  /salute! @Konrad--soon-ish.  I'll do a few more sets of varying sizes, then BAM...dragon.  It's gonna be cooooooool. @LochaberAxe--Sets are my primary focus right now, because I've yet to settle on a price for custom commissions *and* as a new startup, I want to push new sets that are available to everyone at first.  It may be months, but I do plan on doing custom figures in the future.  For now, I'm going to concentrate on the Roll20 community as a whole, then after many sets are on the Marketplace, I'll begin a custom figure / creature service...!

I've been trying to integrate some old Dragonstar elements into my campaign.  I'd like to see some of the fantasy type characters (orcs, elves, etc.) outfitted in sci-fi technological garb.  Examples might include orcs in space marine type armor wielding some type of heavy armament, or dark elves in imperial star wars type uniforms.  I've been thoroughly unsuccessful in finding overhead tokens of this type.

Thanks, Ajax!  I know you've got a zillion choices when it comes to the Marketplace, so thanks for picking my PixelFigs.   As far as dungeon props--I won't be competing there for a while.  I'll stick with monsters, characters, gear and vehicles at first.  A long way down the road, I'd like to complete a full adventure done in my style:  Full maps, NPCs, monsters, the whole thing--and pack it into a single one-stop purchase...but that's a ways away.  I'd probably want to find a writer for the adventure first, anyhow, so no plans for that kind of thing yet! The next pack from PixelFigs will be THE UNDEAD, and it'll release in about two weeks.  You can expect packs at about two-week intervals for some time, with a small interruption around the end of June as I become a first-time daddy then.  The good thing about making monsters is that they aren't weeks-long paintings of epic battle scenes, so I will still try to stick as close to the 2-week schedule as I can once we've gotten into a "baby schedule"! Again, thank you.  It's great to know my art is getting played with in games.  You never know what folks will like when you're alone in the art studio making the pack.  I'll just keep making the coolest monsters and characters I can an hope that's enough!

As for all the other suggestions--I promise that PixelFigs is all about making neat stuff for EVERY genre of RPG.  Right now, Fantasy is the winning genre as far as requests that I get, so I'll be doing those for a bit longer.  But I do very much have the desire to make some cool cyborgs, star armies and assorted other odd things, so keep tabs on me and you'll see them eventually!
