GM LFP Star Wars - Saga Edition

Who : This guy, and 3-4 people who know about the superiority of eralam crystals in their sabers. What : Star wars saga edition, all technology available, all official books allowed When : Late central time S-M-T-W-Th (10pm-12am start, 2-5 hour sessions), In game would be around 45 ABY (post abeloth) Why : Because, Star Wars Where : Skype or roll20 voice, at your desktop/laptop/phone/device Me: Long time GM of many in person campaigns and a few here on roll20. Avid fan of SW, Night owl, smoker, longs walks on the beach, etc. My GM style is pretty easy, if it's not in the rules but you make a good enough argument, I'll probably allow it if the dice don't wreck your attempt. I'm punctual and fairly OCD about details in my own work. You: Can type, breathe, and laugh. Preferably played Saga edition before in some fashion. If you say you're going to show up, you'll show up (3 strike rule). Some things to consider: The dice are trying to kill you. Cats are evil. Cats are quirky. Once we have enough people who are genuinely willing to make this happen, we'll start. I have a full campaign ready to be played (6 months of play @ 1x a week, or a February of play if we go every night). The campaign can be good or evil depending on the preference of those involved. My set idea of a campaign is a lot like "MMO name here" with a main story, side stories, and an open world. You drive the adventure. Age of players isn't an issue, maturity of players is, please mentally be an adult. I don't like ending numerical lists in odd numbers. (yes, the 5 W's up top are bothering me even though they're not numbered) The campaign will only have one rule: Do. Not. Kill. Each. Other. Intentionally . (This does not apply to the dice, they will do as they wish... just like cats) Final thoughts: If a character is killed they will be given a chance for a short monologue. If that monologue is in Iambic Pentameter, Divine Intervention will miraculously return them to a healthy/conscious state. Only Once. Feel free to ask questions and post your interest here or PM me. I'll be on for the next 4-5 hours. Edit: I've subscribed before and I'll do it again when there's a campaign to be played. Nifty tools and shiny toys for my players.
I'm on Japan time so the late nights work for me on Sunday and Thursday. If It starts at 10pm your time it should give me plenty of time. Experienced in Saga Edition but haven't done much on Roll20, have all the necessary equipment and software.
I have played a little bit of Saga edition, with additional experience in other versions and systems. A Sunday game starting at 10pm CDT would be great for me. Hopefully a time similar to that would work out. I may also be able to be free Monday or Thursday nights. I would need to start at an earlier time as I also live in CDT and have work in the morning. Do you care to share the basics of the main story plot? Will this be a Jedi/Force heavy game or more of the other classes? Are there any houserules? I was thinking I had heard people say that Jedi bumping up their Use The Force skill were very high powered compared to most other things, or even base Jedi compared to other classes. Granted it is also dependent on how the character is built and the player running them, I just didn't know if we'd all pretty much be on equal footing or if I'd need to work to keep up. While Jedi can be fun I think I'll go a different route. Perhaps a smuggler, plenty of connections, Charisma, and access to cash and goods (noble); probably wouldn't have a lot of combat ability but would hopefully be able to buy enough equipment to make themselves more useful. Or a mercenary / Mandalorian (scout/soldier); a bit more basic but still plenty of fun to play, probably good at scouting. A droid could also be fun to play, perhaps one that can rewrite his own software (I was thinking that was possible with this version but I may be thinking of a different SW version). Having a tech in the party could also be nice to allow for equipment modification, unless those enhancements and alterations can also be bought. How strict are you running the timeline? I am not that familiar with the cannon of events. I saw that you listed we could use all official books but I did not know if some would be excluded due to the time frame or if the RP aspect was allowed to be changed slightly to make the material fit.

Hey, I have read a few(6ish) of the star wars books (and watched the movies duh), but i'm pretty wobbly on the timelines - confusing stuff that is. But I have absolutely no experience with that system. I'm a quick study though so i could read up on stuff. If you are willing to teach, I'd love to learn/join. I could do 12am Sundays, which is like 6 in the morning on mondays for me but I'm cool with that. If absolutely nessesary I will wake up at 4 in the morning but i'd rather not :P All the rules you posted seem solid and very well founded, especially the suspicion of cats, very reasonable! Rhyming in English though... I might just take my demise like a man! Hit me with a PM if you'll have me. Regards Me
