Lock map option

There should be a option to lock a map in place. This is a no brainer. Are they working on this???

Could you explain why you need the map locked in place? It shouldn't be moving around unless you switch to the map layer and then move it around.
Yeah sometimes I accidentally grab the map instead of a token while in map mode. This happens every so often. As a dm you have to move pretty fast and this simple lock option would be a great feature. I'm sure everyone has this issue.

I have the map on the map layer and tokens on the token layer so I literally never have this issue.
Yeah but say you are in a rushed game. You have to create a map on the fly. Switching between token and map and gm layer is confusing sometimes. What if when you slapped your map down you could adjust, right click, advanced, and lock map. Simple.

Add that to a long list of "simple" improvements I'd like to see, but pretty far down. If you do move the wrong item, you can use undo to put it back ( Windows : ctrl-z, Mac : cmd-z). If you have the API, it would be trivial to create a script that would let you lock the position of art assets (I actually have a script you could modify to do that fairly easily).

You can move the map to the map layer by right clicking the image and select send to map layer. I rarely ever switch between layers.

Ctrl+Shift+M with the map tile still selected will automatically move the image to the map layer. No layer switching needed.

So lets go with your steps there. 1) Slap the map down. 2) Adjust 3) Right Click 4) Advanced 5) Lock Map Steps 1-3 would be identical. Step 4 becomes "Layer" Step 5 becomes "Map Layer" Equally simple and uses the same number of steps (and clicks).
